Someone took to the loud speaker in a NJ Wal-Mart the other day
and made an announcement for ‘black folks to go away’::
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, New Jersey – Wal-Mart Stores Inc. officials are reviewing security tapes to try to determine who used a southern New Jersey store’s public-address system to tell “all black people” to leave.
On Sunday evening at the Washington Township store, a male voice calmly announced: “Attention Wal-Mart customers: All black people leave the store now.”
Witnesses told the Courier-Post newspaper that customers and store employees looked stunned. Management later apologized.
The company spokesperson can’t identify who did the bid of ‘ill customer relations’
So Wal-Mart is looking into the matter and the incident is under investigation.
As for the black customers who were shopping – an apology will have to suffice
After all if you’re shopping at Wal-Mart chalk it up to the high cost of a low price.

Unfortunately such bad taste in [public announcement] jokes are not limited to Wal-Mart chains. I once visited a MINYARDS in Arlington, TX (formerly at Green Oaks & I-20) – the hour was late and mostly inventory stockers were on duty, save a few cashiers. Suddenly someone came over the pa system and said, “Niggers get out”. The Asst. Manager seemingly had no answers for the late night black customers that were shopping at the time, so things got a little hostile. One black male customer grabbed a smug male stocker (non-black who was talking smack) and took him outside and counter punched the ‘inside’ joke. It wasn’t pretty. Needless to say I found a new grocer who warmly welcomes all customers carrying green backs. It’s been good shopping every since. 🙂
