Today Our President has literally made history by signing the Health Care Reform Bill into LAW. Vice President Biden introduced the Presidents signage with a quote by the classic poet Virgil that says “The greatest wealth is health”.

Once President Obama took the floor he said, “This legislation will take 4 years to fully impliment the reforms but a host of desperately needed reforms will take effect –
Right away – This year.

This year we will offer tax credits to about four million small business men and women to help cover the cost of insurance for their employees.

This year tens of thousands of uninsured Americans with pre-existing conditions will finally be able to get the coverage that they need.

This year insurance companies will no longer be able to drop insurance coverage of people when they get ‘too sick’. They won’t be able to place lifetime limits or restrictive annual limits on the care that they need.

This year all new insurance plans will be required to offer free preventive care and young people will be able to stay on their parents policy until they’re 26 years old.

This year seniors who fall in “the donut hole” (coverage gap) will get help…”

He went on and on to make it clear
That our beloved Sr. citizens have nothing to fear.

He went on to give due credit to politicians of the past
Who knew that a nations strength w/o healthcare wouldn’t last.

Delivering on ‘A Promise’ one deed at a time.
Much can be accomplished under Pelosi’s shine.

Much can be accomplished if we all come together
and bond out of humanity and less by ‘party weather’.

As Health Care Reform gets under way, there are other issues crying out:
like what Dr. Cornel West & Tavis Smiley have been talking about.

Well it ain’t nothing new – nor is it something we can afford to drop;
Because our President is black, is reason not for activism to stop.

Contrary to what many may want to believe – HATE is alive and well.
When the House was passing the health care bill – “slur restraints” were shot to hell.

The gays are duly making noise, as not to be pushed aside or overlooked
and immigrants are on the vent – requesting more RIGHTS on the books.

A good President can’t get off the hook, once everyone realizes he can ‘get her done’,
