No. I’m not suggesting you take up weed consumption – I’m hinting at copulation. It’s good for you. Are you indulging in it as often as possible?

Well you very well should.
There’s nothing wrong with consuming the flower or enjoying the wood.

Between the consentually grownit’s beneficially good.
I’d definitely practice it more often – if I could.

The stress relieving benefits ABSOLUTELY can’t be beat.
Burning calories comes easy when generating internal heat.

PLUS the sprouting conclusion is FREE – yielding you both a glow and a renewed pep.

LONE STAR Con Smarts

LONE STAR Con Smarts

Yes sir – a sensational stir and Ooo Wee, Good Lawd – Merci!
I am enjoying the show that LONE STAR is panning out to be.

The biggest blows are always returned to the one that dealt it.
Peep pop tower on this exciting new show & how they tell it:

“Lone Star” (FOX TV show), formerly known as “Midland,” is a sophisticated and provocative drama about a con man who is juggling two wives and two very different lives. FOX’s “Lone Star” TV show is set against the backdrop of greed and corruption in the Texas oil and power industries. From Chris Keyser and Amy Lippman (“Party of Five”), writer Kyle Killen and directed by Marc Webb (“(500) Days of Summer”), the compelling series stars newcomer James Wolk as Robert Allen, a charismatic and brilliant schemer who has entangled himself in a deep, complex web from which he can’t break free. In FOX’s “Lone Star” TV series, he’s caught between two very different women.

The “Lone Star” cast also includes Adrianne Palicki (“Friday Night Lights”) as Cat, Eloise Mumford (“Crash”) as Lindsay, Jon Voight as Clint, Mark Deklin as Trammell, (“The Ex List”), David Keith (“The Class”) as John Allen, Hannah Leigh Dworkin (“The Suite Life of Zack & Cody”) as Grace, and Bryce Johnson (“Doctor Strange”) as Drew.

The “Lone Star” TV show is produced by 20th Century Fox Television. “Lone Star” (FOX TV show) was created by Kyle Killen. The executive produces of FOX’s “Lone Star” TV series are Kyle Killen, Amy Lippman, Chris Keyser, Chris Weitz, Kerry Kohansky Roberts and Paul Weitz. Marc Webb and Bill Gierhart directed the pilot for FOX’s “Lone Star” TV series.

..and to think the writer & creator [Kyle Killen] is a literal popular unknown,
whose recent writes can’t seem to go wrong. He’s quite telling of “The Lone”.

It’s titaliting, tasty, provactive, revealing and thrilling,
I’m Qui

And a little Texas dirt, can sometimes be quite healing
That is of course if “the rush” — is something you’re into feeling…
I love it!

The Cowboys SPANKED The Texans 9.26.10

The Cowboys SPANKED The Texans 9.26.10

The Cowboys mounted up today to play again
over at the neighbors houseThe Houston Texans.

It was a slow begin, but then The Cowboys did score
At least 10 solid points before hitting the half time door.

Marion Barber & Jason Whitten did what ever they could
To run and protect the ball, like a good Cowboy should.

We really need a win, (said the Cowboy Lover in me)
So I buckled down and prayed all through quarter 3.

Then Cowboys: Mike Jenkins #21 intercepted a Texan ball
allowing Romo, Byrant and Williams to make another TOUCHDOWN CALL.

Cowboys #51 Keith Brooking couldn’t let the Texans offensive ‘Shot Gun’ call go –
So he tackled the quarterback (a real pretty sack) & let the Texans punt it fro.

With 10 minutes left in the 4th quarter Roy Williams does it again
TOUCHDOWN for the COWBOYS & I’m dancing towards a WIN!

#41 Terence Newman recovers the ball when Texans #23 Foster fumbled
And on the field The Cowboys yeild our first win — of which I’m humbled.

It was long coming and felt so good to be recieving,
I’m Qui
feeling good about The Cowboys Win they made it look so easy.

FINAL SCORE
Cowboys 27 – Texans 13

The FALL Line Up

The FALL Line Up has to include COUGAR TOWN and MODERN FAMILY .
They both premiered last night and made me quite happy.

Now I wrote about them last season, but I didn’t know for sure, if you were watching;
The new season started Wednesday night – so you’ve plenty of time for ‘new show clocking’.

Set your DVRs to auto record them both,
So we can laugh @ our class – inside of the mid sized boat.

No. There are no black people in any of these middle class casted hoods,
But it doesn’t have to be ‘a race thing’ to convey a few “common goods”.

Last nights COUGAR TOWN included the ‘friendly’ Jennifer Aniston quite proper;
She was Courtney’s charecters sexy and inconsistent confidant/psych doctor.

The writing was hot, the casting was cool and the networks viewing sex appeal shot up amply,
Until that show went off and my other one came on: The dysfunctional MODERN FAMILY.
it’s charmingly corny and hammy.

The forementioned shows are more relatable than you think even though they’re not casted black,

Checking The Bill

In News, Politics on September 23, 2010 at 1:03 pm

Sure he’s got a lot to sayFactual Wisdom garnished with a lil’ sarcastic jive…
I’m having a blast transcribing Bill Mahers Real Time interview from last weeks Larry King Live:

Larry reminds us that Christine O’Donnell was on Bill’s program after Joe Biden made his acceptance speech at the Democratic Convention in Denver to which Bill says, “I still have a little 10 Commandments that she gave me“. To carry around with you? asks Larry “It’s a little replica of the actual tablets that Moses carried down from the mountain, or as Mel Brooks said, ‘I have these 15 [then drops one] — these 10 Commandments!’“ .

Bill Maher on Tea Party Movement & Sarah Palin

Larry says, Okay – Sarah Palin. I don’t have to say anything else. “Well I don’t either. You know she’s got a show on the Learning Channel. That’s like me having a show on the Christian Broadcasting Network. I think she’s going to run for president. I can not wait to see the Republican debates in 2012. When you think about who is going to be on that panel: Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich, Haley Barber, John Bolton, Tim Pawlenty, Mitt Romney… How are they going to ‘out fire breathe’ each other? I mean, where this rhetoric has gone to – at this point — it’s only 2010 and we’re having Newt Gingrich as we were talking about before, calling him [Obama] an anti colonial loud tribesman. Loud tribesman. That’s the new Kenyan, Larry. And Kenyan of course was code for “Nigger”. But that’s where they are. That can’t say it out loud, but that’s where this whole campaign is going to be. You asked about racism. It’s all about racism. They can’t fathom this idea that there is a black president – and that’s what they’re going to fight about.

The other thing about Sarah Palin is that (if you read that Vanity Fair article this month – if you read the news week cover story a few months ago, or heard she was praying on the cover) – she’s a true religious nut. I know people are saying ‘Oh there goes Bill Maher. He’s always talking about religion’. Well read the article. Read about her. There’s a part where it says they were giving her books to study up on and they came back and said “did you read any?” and & she said, ‘No. I haven’t looked at the books, (mock holding a palm device), I’m just reading the emails from my prayer warriors’. Prayer Warriors. These are people (and she’s one of them) who believe that there are “demons in the world”. Everything in her world view is about demons or angels. People who are with us and people who are against us. You know when Liberals say things like ‘Well when you fight the mosque – building the mosque in New York, you’re just encouraging a war with Islam’ – they don’t understand. People like Sarah Palin want a war with Islam. That’s what it says in the Bible. ‘Bring it on. Let’s get it over with’. So that’s who could be running our country in 2 years.

Larry asks, What do you make of the rumor that Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden will switch jobs? “I haven’t heard that rumor. I don’t know why they would do it. Hillary seems to have fallen into her groove there in the state department. This is a really fascinating time, because again we live in these two different realities. I don’t think it’s ever been like this. I know there’s always been shall we say passionate divide in American politics. But I don’t think there’s ever been a time when the two sides just have two different sets of reality. I mean, if more than half of the Republicans think that Obama is trying to impose Sharia Law on the United States of America. That’s just not something you can argue about. That’s just something in their view that has to be extripate“. So how do you fight that if you’re on the other side?, asks Larry. “You don’t because you can’t get through. That’s the problem with the drudge Rush Fox Access of Evil news bubble. Nothing gets into these people heads. They only listen to what they want to hear. They listen to what confirms what they believe – and what they believe is what they got from these people to begin with. You know when Glen Beck had his big rally on the mall he said something like, (at one point said) ‘Today I was holding George Washington’s inaugural in my hand’. No. You can’t do that. It’s in plexi glass. It’s 200 years old. You can’t give that to people to pass around and smudge up with their grimy fingers. But it didn’t matter, because it never matters with these people, because nothing they say is ever fact checked.

The Governor of Arizona talks about how illegals were beheading people in Arizona. And when the pressed asked her about this, because it was patently untrue – she just ran away. Sarah Palin never talks to the press, because they might ask her a question that she doesn’t have a ‘pat’ answer for. They know they don’t have to deal with reality, because they don’t have to go through what used to be “the mainstream press“.

What do make of the Glen Beck phenomenon?
“It’s interesting. It might be an act, I don’t know how much he really believes what he believes. Some of it, it’s obvious he just doesn’t is obvious he just doesn’t believe what he’s talking about himself. He wraps himself up in the book “Common Sense” by Thomas Payne. Thomas Payne was an athiest. I mean it’s like these people who quote the Bible because they read that one passage — but they haven’t really read the whole bible. I don’t think he (Glen) has ever read Thomas Payne because it has nothing to do with what he believes in or professes to believe in. It’s interesting now that he’s sort of seg’ing from a political commentator – to a preacher. Because that monument to himself that he had on the mall on Martin Luther Kings big day – he sort of moved over to the role of a preacher. It was all about religion, it was all about God, and faith. And this is the guy that said, “Obama has a deep seeded hatred for white people”. So it’s not that big of a move. He’s once again tracking in the unproveable“.

Will the Republicans be the majority in 2012

Did Gingrich surprise you with his statement? “It would more except that I’ve seen this pattern over the last year that the Tea Baggers are actually taking over the mainstream Republican party“. Larry asks Taken over Newt Gingrich? “Taken over John McCain. John McCain how long…noble service. I wanted to vote for him in the year 2000 and suddenly he was against everything he ever stood for. This was the guy who was sponsoring the sensible immigration bill in the United States Congress and now he’s talking about the border and…you know…he’s on “the beheadings” page. He was saying illegals are causing car crashes on purpose. You know, just crazy stuff, so I’m not surprised that the Tea Baggers are getting the mainstream Republicans formally mainstream to pander to them. But yeah, Newt Gingrich used to be considered “the thinker” in the Republican party. He was sort of their “philosopher”, and now he’s talking about the loud tribesman?

Bill Maher speaks out on Islamophobia & the NYC Islamic center controversy

Let’s get to the Islamic Center by the World Trade Center? It’s about 2 or 4 blocks – whatever it is – there is nothing else down there. That was a Burlington Coat Factory that is out of business. You know what they should build there? A Burlington Coat Factory Larry – people need jobs and everybody needs a coat. Why don’t they just put up a Burlington Coat Factory.

Well Pastor Terry Jones I think didn’t burn the Qur’an because he got death threats. It’s not because he suddenly became reasonable. People like that – don’t! He got a note from Muhammad Kabul and he changed his mind. So let’s not give him too much credit.

The mosque? Okay I only have 3 things to say about the mosque: One. I’m against building mosques, churches, synagogues, or temples anywhere because I’m an atheist and I think these are places that perpetuate mass delusions. Second point I would like to make is we have a First Amendment in this country which says ‘Any religion, (and I believe in freedom of religion. I believe in freedom of thought. Religion is thought.) you’re allowed to build anywhere – any religion‘. So they should allow them to build the mosque in New York two blocks from the World Center, or right on the site or anywhere else they want. That’s “Freedom of Religion”. And they have the right to protest it. The third thing I would like to say is that when people say, (and some liberals get mad when they say) that Islam is a religion that is more prone to violence. Yes- we have to recognize that too. I think I misspoke on Leno last night. I said “What would happen if they burn the Qur’an. (then answered) Nothing.” Well no, PLENTY would happen: there would be protest there would be deaths. People would die if they burned the Qur’an. That’s not going to happen if they burn the Bible. We have to recognize that civilization wise, the radical fringe of the Muslim religion is bringing up the rear. And it is the duty of Muslim people to deal with that. The sad fact about the mosque is ‘the people that are building that mosque are part of the Sufi religion. That’s the good part, the liberal part; those are the hippies of the Islamic world. We should encourage them. The people who want to build that mosque – those are the people who we should be courting. Bush used that guy. Bush’s administration sent him over seas to talk on our behalf. That’s the way to fight this terrorism. That’s the way to win this war – to get those people on our side. Not alienate them“. Larry asks, How big do you think the Muslim fringe is? “Bigger than our fringe. I think it’s sizeable. But not the majority for sure. The biggest population of Muslims in the world is Indonesia – they’re not crazy. The second biggest is India. There’s 150, 000 Muslims in India – they’re not crazy, but Saudi Arabia – they’re crazy. The Taliban in Afghanistan- they’re crazy. Parts of Pakistan are crazy, Hamas is crazy. There’s enough of them to worry about“.

How does the civilized world deal with ‘crazies’? “Well that’s a good question. I’d say the first thing is, DON’T USE THE ARMY. Because 911 was perpetrated mostly by Khalid Sheikh Mohammed. It’s interesting when read about this guy, there’s an article in The New Yorker this week, he was not really Al-Qaeda , he went to Bin Laden for financing. Bin Laden was like ‘the studio’. You know he gave notes, he gave financing, and he did his thing. Okay we got this guy (Khalid Sheikh Mohammed). We water boarded him 183 times in one month, he‘s behind bars. Why cant we just say, ‘Okay we got the guy who was behind 911 – now Hey New Yorkers ‘Forget About It’ ’ . Not forget about it entirely but you know we’re the land of the free and the home of the brave. We should act like it.

That fireball ticked me off, because we spent $787 billion dollars on a stimulus program when Obama got into office. Now, why he couldn’t he have said, ‘Look – there’s a lot of people out of work in this country and our infrastructure is crumbling and in need of repair. Let’s just take all that money and put those two thoughts together. Let’s have those people who are out of work repair the infrastructure? What happen to all of that money? Why didn’t they fix that? An entire town blew up. Larry do you know that we have pipes carrying natural gas in this country that are made of wood? I’m not joking. That’s why the Democrats are going to lose“.

We have this question posted on our Larry King Live FACEBOOK page and it says, Can Bill give us his thoughts on how social media is replacing mainstream media? “Mainstream media…It’s funny I was at Jay Leno’s show last night and we were talking before the show and he said to me, “You know I don’t understand in the Sunday New York Times weekly review section they always print jokes of comedians & they have me, and they have Letterman and they have Kimmel, but no you. Why aren’t you there”? And I said, “I don’t know the New York Times doesn’t like me. They never report on me even though it would seem that they would because people that watch my show tend to be like the same people that would read the New York Times. But it’s interesting, we called my publicist and found out that it wasn’t that. She said, “Well you tape your show on Friday night and that paper goes to bed for their Sunday edition well before that” and Jay said, “That’s probably true because I’ve noticed, never do I get a joke in that I did on a Thursday or a Friday it’s always Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday”. So here’s the New York Times – the paper of record, apparently for their Sunday edition – going to bed on Wednesday night. That’s when they place the Gutenberg type Larry to make sure that that edition gets out on time. I mean, this is why mainstream media is dying. They don’t have to die, but we’re living in an age where you know you get it on your Blackberry immediately. So when you tell me that ‘I can’t print your joke because we print on Sunday and you do it on Friday’ – I’m like I can’t really help you New York Times“.

Rob Blagojevich has filed a motion to toss out his only conviction in the 24 count corruption trial. What do u make of that whole story? “You know when I heard the verdict, I thought the same thing I thought when I heard the let go of Robert Blake, when they let go O. J. Simpson, the Rodney King cops… You know how many times do we have trials in the country where people just get it DEAD WRONG? They have you on tape, they show you beating the ever loving daylights out of Rodney King – and you can’t convict them. O.J. Simpson – her blood was in his socks and they couldn’t convict him. Robert Blake ‘I went back to the restaurant to get the gun‘….you know? I think at the end of the day what you have to understand is that things are not going to get better in this country politically – because of the people. It’s the people. The country can’t get well if the people are sick and the people are sick. Now I know Obama has not been the best president and the Democrats are not the best politicians but you know what – we elected him just two years ago to fix this mess of bunch of problems we have. And because he didn’t do it by football season we’re ready to throw him out on the street and bring back the guys who messed it up just two years ago. That’s a little too impatient. Yes, when he got the patient – the patient was bleeding to death. He got the patient to stop bleeding. But okay, the patient is not up and back at the office quite yet, it’s no reason to throw the doctor out and get back the doctor who was using leeches. It’s not going Arianna Huffington has a great book coming out called “3rd World America” and it’s brilliant. I’ve been saying that for years and they said, “Oh Bill – why do you hate America first”? I don’t hate America – I love America. I want it to be better. The only way we can get it to be better is to realistically criticize what’s wrong with it. That’s not what the Republicans do. I don’t want to be a pessimist,. I’m a realist. One mans realists is another mans pessimists. I am not like Mitt Romney whose book is called, “No Apology: The case for American Greatness”. Really? Always waving the big foam number 1 finger. We’re not number one in most things. We’re number one in military, we’re number one in money, we’re number one in fat toddlers, meth labs, and people we send to prison. We’re not number one in literacy, money spent on education, we’re not even number one in social mobility. Social mobility means basically, “The American Dream” – the ability of one generation to do better than the next one. We’re 10th. That’s like Sweden coming in 10th in Swedish Meatballs.

More on Real Time’s Bill Maher
Because his LKL interview was on fire:

Bill Maher on President Obama [Democrats & whether people trust the government]

Larry states: A new CNN opinion research poll says 25% say they trust the federal government to do what is right – most of the time. What does that say Bill? “It says more people are trusting than should be. Considering what our government has done lately – but on the other hand the Democrats who have had a pretty successful legislative season don’t get credit for it. Because it hasn’t reached people yet – I mean, the big one is HEALTHCARE and as soon as it passed Obama went up in the poles because ‘people love a winner’ Larry. If Tiger Woods had come back and won The Masters he could have murdered those women. But you know it kind of faded because the benefits of the program haven’t been felt yet. And there was a report out today that said it really isn’t going to pay for itself“.

Larry inputs: But the car companies paid back their loans and they’re selling cars and so on… “Right and they also passed FINANCIAL REFORM and they eliminated the banks as the middle man for student loans, (which was long over due). The Democrats are very bad at selling their own product; The Republicans are genius’ at it and I’ve said it before” says Bill, “A bad product well apologized for — is superior in this country to a good product. The Democrats do have a better product as bad as they are. Now it’s unfortunate that they couldn’t have sold what they’re selling better and have better policies.

Afghanistan was a glaring error, I think. First of all Obama just should have had a different policy from the get go. He’s tied to it now, because he ran on it. He should have ran on a policy that said, ‘The Army is the wrong tool to use to fight terrorism in Iraq and Afghanistan. Thank you – goodnight’. But now he’s tied to this dumb policy where we’re supposedly committed full force until like 8 months later, when we advertise that we’re pulling all of our troops out. I mean the Taliban have outlasted people for decades and centuries“.

Larry asks: Well how do you defeat terrorism? “You don’t“, Bill says, “That’s the key Larry, you don’t defeat it. You have to understand it’s always with us. It’s like saying how do you defeat crime? You can’t defeat crime“… Larry interjects Violent crime is down in America. “Down. Right and we’ve had terrorism go down. By the way Obama has been president for 20 months and there has not been an attack. Bush was president for 9 months when we got hit. So on that score – Obama’s kept us safer.”

But you’re saying there’ll always be terrorism? asks Larry. “ Of course. Especially when we do things like invade Muslim countries“. Should we not have called it a war on terrorism? says Larry, Because there will not be a victory day? Bill concurs, “ Exactly. We should not have called it a war on terrorism. There will not be a victory day. Exactly. And you know this war in Afghanistan— I never read a good thing about it. The longer we’re there the stronger the Taliban gets. I mean I read bad things about the government of Karzai, I read bad things about the Afghan Army, about the Afghan Police, I read bad things about our soldiers. Of course they’re put in an impossible situation and they’re doing the best they can – they’re very brave but 5 of them are now up for murder charges. I read horrible things about what ordinary people in that country do. They stoned a woman a couple of weeks ago for eloping. For the crime of eloping and this wasn’t just the Taliban. The whole village came out – even her own relatives. That’s got a hurt — a rock comes and it’s from your mom”.

Larry asks about Pakistan. How do we deal with them? “Well we’re not dealing with them“. Bill responds in a discerning voice, “What – you mean because they’re a Muslim country with nuclear weapons? Well that happens while we were trying to get the nuclear weapons that weren’t in Iraq out of Iraq. I think that genie is out of the bottle.

The same thing with Iran – you know we’re obsessed with Iran getting nuclear weapons. You know that’s like a father whose obsessed with his daughter losing her virginity. It’s going to happen. It’s going to happen and you’re going to have to live in a world where it does happen. To give a little perspective I was watching “Day After Tomorrow” [1983] – Do you remember that? It was a huge sensation at the time because we were in a cold war. It was about what would happen if the United States and the Soviet Union wiped each other off. It was chilling because – ofcourse in that era when a nuclear exchange took place it was between two super powers who emptied their arsenal and wiped out the world. We’re not living in that world anymore. Things are actually better. Could a terrorist get a nuke into the port of Los Angeles? Absolutely, but it would probably be just one bomb. As awful as that is. It’s not as bad as when two super powers were facing each other with arsenals”.

Stay tuned for Larry and Bills latest interview conclude,
I’m Qui
bidding you a Happy Hump Day and “Don’t be a Sue“. lol!
Oui!!! to GLEE!!! 🙂

REAL TIME Bill on LIVE

In News, Politics on September 20, 2010 at 2:07 pm

As we enter another season with Bill Maher on HBO, he decides to go LIVE with LARRY KING and boy oh boy is he a star. He received his HOLLYWOOD WALK OF FAME STAR last weekend and the taped excerpts of the event that were played on LKL were hilarious. Bill gave thanks to a few people without whom he wouldn’t have made it: “George Bush, Sarah Palin and the Pope”.

His recent Stand Up: “But I’m not wrong” is on DVD and is pretty enlightening as well. I caught his latest LARRY KING LIVE interview and thought I’d hammer out a few transcripted notes to share with you. The entire interview is about an hour long, so I will likely type out the remainder of it before the weeks end. So without furter adu — let’s begin:

BILL on The Tea Party Movement & Sarah Palin

“Christine O’Donnell was one of our most frequent guests on Politically InCorrect…we created people like Ann Colulter, Laura Ingraham, because we liked to book a lot of female conversatives. They were good press and good for the show. We loved Christine O’Donnell — I still like her, you can not not like her – she is such a nice person. We have a great clip that used to be in our highlight reel of Ben Affleck on that show, just saying “Please Christine – Shut up!” Because I guess she would just go on and on. She was known, back then as the girl from S.A.L.T. [SALT stands for the SAVIORS of ALLIANCE LIFTING TRUTH] and I guess that’s still the stake she claims. Part of me (for sentimental reasons) is rooting for Christine in Delaware – the other part of me is rooting for her because she’s going to get her Christian Ass Kicked in the general elections.

This is the great thing about the Tea Baggers and the Republican Party. A year ago we were debating whether Tea Baggers were even Republicans. Remember, they were very independent and then a poll came out and it like blew the lid off it – ‘Okay they’re really Republicans’ – Of course they’re really Republicans and they’re taking over that party.

Democrats should be very happy that people like Christine O’Donnell are winning elections because in the general election, I think (know the Democrats are going to lose some seats probably a lot), but not as many as they would have if Tea Baggers weren’t winning the Primaries. Because I think voters are generally conservative, (and when I say conservative) they are not really comfortable with people that are “out there” on the left or the right & these Tea Baggers are out there. I’ve said it before, (probably on your show) when people go into the voting booth it’s like getting on an airplane – they get scared. They tend to do things that are conservative in nature, even if their liberal. And I don’t think (even conservative voters) will look at people like Sharon Angle or maybe Joe Miller in Alaska (although AK is a separate place because they‘re very conservative people), but certainly Christine O’Donnell can not win in a state like Deleware because she’s just crazy“.

Larry asks Bill: What do you mean “crazy”, give me an example. Bill replies “Well I just think that people, (they understand our country is in a lot of trouble), even people who are angry understand that crazy people are not going to make it better. Christine O’Donnell like all of these Tea Baggers, have no plan, no agenda, no policy points – they have one advantage: They’re running against Democrats“.

Bill on President Obama [Democrats and whether people trust the government]

Larry asks Bill: What do you make of this whole Anti-Obama thing? Bill replies, “I was talking about it to Jay Leno last night, I said, Jay – Maybe he’s [Obama] not even a mammal, he may be a werewolf Larry – we don’t know that. It was bad enough when we had these people called “the birthers” who thought he was not born here, but I was saying last night I’m identifying this new group — and I call them “the churchers”. The churchers are the people who don’t think that he is a Christian. Larry interjects, “But he’s the first president that has ever issued a press release issued saying that he is [a Christian].” Bill responds, “He’s a secret Muslim Larry. I guess you haven’t being paying enough attenion. When I spoke with him he told me about his plan to use drinking water to sterilize white people. Oh woops! I’ve said to much. I have in theory said the internet and Fox News makes people stupider. The Pew Group did a study that showed 10 years ago Democrats, Republicans and Independents basically got their news from the same news sources…probably more from CNN – then we had this polarity… And now, John Edwards said, we have two Americas – and we do have two Americas. We have the America that’s living in reality – the people who understand THAT Obama is a centist liberal from Hawaii whose trying to dig us out of this hole that we’re in and then we have this other FOX mad drudge Rush Limbaugh reality where he [Obama] is a Muslim sleeper cell manturian candidate who was sent over by his Kenyan father…” Larry interrupts Bill and asks, What kind of intelligent person would believe that? Bill responds “Intelligent people? Larry we’re broadcasting in America – how ridiculous. 🙂

Larry asks, Is there a racist tone to this? Yes Larry it’s extreme racism. Its so funny that the one thing the Tea Baggers hate is when you call them racist – the other thing they hate is BLACK PEOPLE – but they wont say it. If you saw what Newt Gingrich has saying… Okay, for those who don’t know, I don’t even know if I can recount it in a way that makes sense to people…he was quoting from an article by Dinesh D’Souza who’s saying now, (what Newt Gingrich says he believes] is that ‘Obama is getting his philosophy from his father’ (who he spent about a month with –in his whole life when he was 8 years old) and that ‘his father was a loud tribesman from Kenya who was mad at white people’, and so Newt says that he [Obama] is anti colonial. Like that’s a bad thing. Like when George Washington was fighting the British – it was a good thing to be anti colonial.

Sarcasm is Bills ‘everyday all day’,
I’m Qui
just retyping what he and LARRY had to say.
Hey-eyyyy!
I got’cha back
& I’ll be back with MORE BILL…momentarily.

KEEPING O’Donnell HONEST

In News, Politics on September 17, 2010 at 9:50 am

Tea Party Republican Christine O’Donnell raking in nearly a million dollars in donations in just 24 hours and being advised by Sarah Palin to only talk to “friendly news outlets” [Fox News]. Something like Arizona’s Gov. Jan Brewer who won’t talk about “beheadings in the desert” anymore… Too tough of a subject or simply too false to clarify? How about Nevada’s Sharon Angle (for Senate) who walks out and sometimes runs away from unwanted questions? Christine O’Donnell parallels the aforementioned when confronted with FACTS.

Her interview with a Republican radio host: Dan Gaffney proved to be telling. Did you read the transcribe?

Host: When you were speaking at an out of state group recently and you told them that you won two out of three counties in Delaware, what did you mean?

O’Donnell: I don’t think I ever said I won two…

Host: Well lets listen to the audio. Hold on one second because I have the audio right here.

AUDIO TAPE Transcription

O‘Donnell: I was the 2008 endorsed candidate against Joe Biden and I won in two counties. We didn’t have the support of our liberal republicans then.

Host: You said you won in two counties.

O’Donnell: Alright, you know what that probably was, you’re on the campaign trail a lot, I meant tied.

Host: Well you didn’t tie…

O’Donnell: Um, yeah, they’ve got a tracker following you, waiting for you to trip up…

Host: Yeah but you didn’t…

O’Donnell: So, you know,

Host: Christine. Christine, I’m just saying why, you didn’t tie him either.

O’Donnell: Look at the results. Look at the results.

Host: I did. He beat you. It was close.

O’Donnell: And what did they say? 49-49? I call that a tie.

Host: No Christine, he won in votes. You know that.

Anderson 360 asks the question, “Why shouldn’t those who want to lead us be able to answer tough questions?” Even Karl Rove has pointed out there are plenty of questions to ask O’Donnell about how she’s been handling campaign money, though yesterday he kind of walked it back a bit and said he was just “dishing out STRAIGHT TALK” as a Fox News Analyst, pointing out that he actually did endorse her and that he “is for the Republican in each and every race”, but he also repeated the original criticism.

In a recent FOX interview, Karl said (about Christine’s recent dishonest record), “Then she needs to also be able to answer these questions about her personal background. Explain how she got behind in her taxes, her mortgage, why she didn’t take care of that college bill, and do so in a way that’s frank and honest. Look everybody in their life, sometimes has difficulties and honesty and candor is going to be the best remedy here. She can’t get away with by simply saying, ‘My answer is on my website’ or ‘It’s puzzling to me why the IRS would file a lean for me when I didn’t pay my taxes in 2005’… I mean, she’s got to be more honest than that, and if she does — she’s got a shot to win. But it’s got to be passionate, factual, and hard hitting”.

Gary Tuckman [CNN Correspondent] further explained how O’Donnell has spent some of the money from her 2008 campaign donations and how she may have violated election laws. She spent a lot of money on personal affects. Gary points out an immediate double standard from the mouth of Christine in DE yesterday, when she said to supporters, “America can not spend its way to recovery“, but that’s exactly what she’s doing. Christine has recently written checks from her campaign donations checking account for such petty items like $457.20 for Mileage Reimbursement 3 months after the campaign, (and didn’t own a car at time), $157 for a personal Verizon phone bill, $28 for gas in the town where she lives, $600 for her utility bill, $19.00 at Pipe Lanes (that’s pays for about 8 Games of Bowling), and $6.00 for a meal at Rudy Tuesdays Restaurant and on and on and on. The truth is Christine has no steady income of her own, (..ie job), but that’s no reason to spend campaign money to pay your personal debts…especially your house note, (which she also did).

Christine can not spend her way to recovery. Perhaps gainful employment will help, but should she be employed in the Senate if this is how she handles money? Isn’t LESS government spending one of her biggest selling points?

In Keeping Them Honest Anderson Cooper tackles the nuts and bolts of political dollars and SENSE. Are you paying attention? Elections are in November.

I dig good information – it’s insightfully right for my head,

Giddy about GLEE

Giddy about GLEE

So NERDS are on the rise. Praise God and YIPPEE!!!
My AP Academic kid is stuck on FOX’s show of “GLEE”.

Are you watching? It’s certainly more than an exhibition of thespian/musical nerds. The students that attend the sitcom high school are extremely talented. They’re more like BROADWAY actors in training. Awesome! Let’s meet a few of the stars:

Mercedes Jones [played by Amber Riley] is “diva-in-training who refuses to sing back-up”, with a “flair for fashion”.[Ep.37] In the pilot episode Mercedes auditions for the glee club by performing “Respect” by Aretha Franklin.[Ep.34] Due to Cheerios scheming, Mercedes develops a small crush on Kurt, unaware that he is gay. She is hurt when he rejects her, but Mercedes quickly recovers and she is supportive when he confides his sexuality. After this, the two become especially close friends.[Ep.35] Her father is a dentist.[Ep.38] In The Rhodes Not Taken, when April Rhodes is trying to get the other Glee club members on her side, she teaches Mercedes and Tina how to shoplift, later Mercedes goes to Mr. Schuester with new clothes and accessories saying that they love April.[Ep.22] Dismayed at never receiving solo songs, Mercedes joins the Cheerios along with Kurt.[Ep.28] She briefly dates Puck, but ultimately breaks up with him and quits the cheerleading squad, afraid of turning into someone she does not want to be.

Kurt Hummel [played by Chris Colfer] is a flamboyant singer who is bullied by the football team. In the pilot episode, Kurt auditions for the glee club by performing Mr. Cellophane from the musical Chicago.[Ep.34] Kurt comes out as gay to Mercedes in the episode "Acafellas",[Ep.35] and to his father in the following episode. Kurt has a crush on Finn, and hopes if Finn breaks up with Quinn, he will turn to Kurt for comfort.[Ep.32] He is aware that Rachel also has feelings for Finn, and attempts to sabotage her chances with him by giving her a bad makeover.

Finn Hudson [played by Cory Monteith] is the star quarterback of the school’s football team who risks alienation by his friends to join the Glee Club. Finn “isn’t a dumb jock”, but instead “walks a fine line between following his dreams and balancing what other people expect of him.”[Ep.8] He is dating cheerleader Quinn (whose Prego), and is conflicted by his growing feelings for Rachel.[Ep.14] Finn’s mother then allows Quinn to move in with them.[Ep.32] Finn finds out that Quinn’s baby is Puck’s after Rachel tells him…

Quinn Fabray [played by Dianna Agron] is introduced as Finn’s girlfriend, head of the cheerleading squad and president of the celibacy club.[Ep.27] She is described as Rachel’s enemy, and “terrible, the meanest girl”.[Ep.30] She reveals to Finn that she is pregnant and tells him that the baby is his despite the fact the real father is his best friend Puck.Finn learns from Rachel that Puck is the father of Quinn’s baby. He breaks up with Quinn…

Rachel Berry [played by Lea Michele] is a “strong, driven” member of the glee club, who is misunderstood by her peers.[Ep.20] Rachel is “Not only is she a singer, but she has so much heart — precisely what we need on TV.”[Ep.8] Rachel has a brief relationship with Puck, but ultimately breaks up with him over her feelings for Finn.[Ep.23] She later dates Jesse St. James, the lead singer of rival glee club Vocal Adrenaline, who ultimately betrays her in favor of his club.[Ep.24] Rachel discovers that Vocal Adrenaline coach Shelby Corcoran is her birth mother, but the two fail to forge a relationship.[Ep.25] At the end of season one, she and Finn reconcile and he tells her that he loves her.[Ep.26]

This show is about as riveting as I remember Melrose Place being when I was a teen.
However using pages from current youth phasestotally personalizes the scene.

I would have compared it to the historical teen show: 90210
But the writing, the cast and I never made a connective flow.

Glee is about adolescents channeling their energies positively through their gifts,
I’m Qui
Digging Glee because growing up is still rough – Positive reflections yield positive lifts.

It’s not a conservative show, or a show for the faint at heart
But it is for honest intellectuals who love seeing real life in reflective art.

Next week the NEW SEASON starts:
Tuesday – 9/21 @ 8/7c

I’m fast becoming a Gleek [..ie a Glee Geek].

What’s the HOLD UP

In Griot, News, TV Shows on September 12, 2010 at 7:25 pm

Encroachments are real, and here’s proof:

Encroaching on The CREATIVE PROCESS

My brief online research turned up very little information about encroachemnts, but boy-oh -boy are they real. Just ask any artist whose creative works have been reviewed by industry officials and ask them about the RED INKED NOTES they received in return…

Ask Dave Chappell. Surely you remember “the creative differences” he had with the producing officials he ultimately “ran away from” on Comedy Central. Remember that? The Dave Chapell Show was creative from day one. Somehow when money, producers and networks get involved, it becomes less funny and more political. WHYYY? (Screams my inner artists who whole heartedly misses the laughs the artist and creator of the show used to render us).

Can you imagine someone or some persons attempting to steer your creative process to deepen their own pockets? Demanding you to do it…even if you’re not feeling it. To me, this would surely stifle the creative process. To me, this is surely an active and live part in the careers of most successful creative persons. There’s definitely a balance that needs to be struck for the talent and the networks to make money. I’m sure it’s hard for everyone, as for me and my creativity — I’m following Oprah. Harpo Studios is a beast and very few can encroach on the giant Ms. Winfrey is. Ask ABC.

Encroaching on SACRED SPACE

While visiting someones home and they tell you to take off your shoes and make yourself comfortable do it, but don’t plant your bottom into the only lazy boy recliner in the room, for it may be their favorite chair. Afterall, there was only one such seat in their house. Trust me, they weren’t keeping it vacant waiting for your visit. Sacred space needs to be listed under common sense.

It is common sense not to stand too close to anyone, no matter how long the line is. In fact, just so you know, standing too close to me and encroaching on my sacred space could induce ‘yawn sparring’. 🙂 The next topic will tell you why…

Encroaching on RESPECT

Respect is crucial,. Please don’t forget it. In fact you demand it – so GIVE IT. Better yet, GIVE IT they way you’d like to receive it.

Encroaching on REALITY

Just because they’re dating you online – doesn’t consumate a marriage or make a relationsship exclusive. Just because The Kardashians did it in an episode, doesn’t make it possible for you to do it anywhere…and on, and on, and on. Know the difference between REEL and REALITY. The differences could make you or break you.

Encroachments are improper and boundaries shouldn’t ever be overlooked.
I’m Qui
Not literally encroaching, but paralleling education…like that of books.
