Eating up The HUNGER GAMES

Yep! I saw it. And it has merit. It is good. I did not read the book before hand, but my daughter did. I didn’t want to have a preconceived notion in my creative mind of HOW the film should be and then be let down. Well I was not let down at all and am now reading the book.

I’m sure I will support the next two films that are slated to follow in this trilogy: [book 2.] Catching Fire and [book 3.] Mockingjay. Katnisss Everdeen is played by the charmed Jennifer Lawrence (whose birthdate is the same as mine – GO LEO!). Opposite Jennifer was actor Josh Hutcherson who played Peeta Mellark. He too brought life to this fictional and highly political story. It’s about the have’s and the have not’s — all the way with a rugged yet gentle twist. Entertaining for sure. I give it 5 STARS. Loved it! Have you seen it?

Okay why did it seem
that the rich were running things
while the “have not’s” scurried to survive on the scene,
and Donald Sutherland played the rich man whose heart was so mean?

Because food was scarce and money was tight
for entertainment the rich pitted the poor to fight.

There were 2 children from each district – Districts 1-12.
Only one tribute out of 24 would survive the forested hell.

It was the way it all went down and the efficient skill that was displayed –
that kept us on the edges of our seats; our attention: not swayed.

If you haven’t seen it, I suggest you take the fam out and duly enjoy.
I’m Qui
Keeping it reel on the movie scene, for the cinema is my career toy!

  1. Sarah LOVED this flick! We’ve seen it twice now!
