Hem it up

In Communication, Griot, Networking, Self Improvement on April 9, 2014 at 2:38 pm

Take it up a notchI wasn’t kidding in March when I mentioned that I’m working out.
My body mechanics and I are having a fitness bout.

I’m All ABOUT IT, but my body is like WHAT?!
I treadmill until exhaustion – telling my brain that it’s fun.

My brain seems to be convinced but my thigh muscles are kind of mad.
I know because after running 3.5 miles today, I started cramping pretty bad.

I suppose it was bound to happen, since I picked up an extra quarter of a mile.
My legs were like noodles, still I displayed the biggest smile.

I also displayed the biggest cheer, after crossing the finish line.
Aw yeah, I’m a little crampy, but due to the accomplishment – I’m feeling fine.

In January, I saw the doc and she said life will absolutely get rough,
if I don’t change my fitness level – so I chose to Hem it up!

I’ve been treadmilling at warp speed and my body is happy for it.
I’ve lost 11 pounds in a month and a half. Yep! Yep! I had to score it.

Tomorrow I go for my 3-month check-up, and I sure hope to get a little more love,
I’m Miz Qui
on a fitness heap – I had to Hem it up.

What are you doing for self? Don’t let your 40’s catch you sitting tough.
Get on your feet and join me in my quest to Hem it up!

ACT 1 Routine: 60 minutes on Treadmill – Run at least 30 minutes of the course.
ACT 2 Routine: Hasn’t started yet, but when it does – I’ll post it for sure.
I’m just getting started. Stay tuned…
