Happy New Year dear beloved. Another start is at hand and with so much opportunity to share.
I brought it in with BELVEDERE & friends at The Copacabana in Times Square.
I’m not much of a drinker but the pricey admission included an open bar.
A few extra bucks and good luck – had them treating me like a star.
No line! The venue’s line was down the block.
My crew and I just walked in, all green lights – no stop.
New York truly Rocks!
To return again — I’ll never stop.
2016 went out with a bang
Excitement was key and Qui is my name.
It just went together,it all made sense and I gave myself to it.
After one glass of vodka and cranberry juice – I couldn’t do it.
Have another one– that is. I’m just not a drinker.
Thank God that I’m not, because by the nights end, I was the only #Thinker.
By the night’s end, I had palmed 3 glasses of Cape Cod
You don’t have to drink a glass to hold a glass. I just smiled and gave head-nods.
I danced for 4-hours the mood was never sour and we all had great time.
I met the coolest couple in VIP that elevated my experience to Cloud9.
Vanessa and Zack are from Australia and they paid for a wall’less sky booth
and then offered us to kick it with them in their space — on just being cool.
Zack, a handsome gent with accent and awesome great blonde hair
let not a moment pass that he was whispering compliments to me of his girl so fair.
Vanessa was his dame with the big smile and bigger heart –
The idea was hers that we join them at our VIP start.
To me- It came out of nowhere.
But good people are everywhere
especially in Times Square!!
Zack and Vanessa are from down under though last night they felt like kin.
Should I ever visit Australia, I’ll be sure to drop in on my new friends.
I burned major calories. So much so my FITBIT experienced a data freeze.
My lungs had no time to wheeze. Dancing is like walking to me.
Times Square did not disappoint. Heck NEW YORK never does.
I always arrive feeling alive then submerge myself in the love.
I love this place and day one of 2017 has unfolded in style,
On Malcolm X Blvd. having a blast and living a little wild.
Last night was the most awesome. Ooo child.
Happy New Year, less frowns more smiles.
