On that flight from Dallas

ABOUT My immediate neighbors in the air…

I’ll be quick and make this short
I sat in row 1 in the middle of two sports.

Both were of senior age but not together.
All of us on our way to enjoy the Phoenix weather.

The lady to my left was fighting Parkinson‘s — HARD.
At times, uncontrollably – for her, I prayed to the Lord.

She was sweet as pie and told me how much she loves her grands and 3-month old great grand.
Though even sweeter tales came via the right from the senior man.

This was only his first flight since being shipped out to Vietnam.braided-qui-red-lips
His outer appearance was aged though he bore youthful charm.

He complimented my hair. I’m wearing micro braids.
He talked to me like we were old friends. I dig his way.

He’s been married for 42-years and is a proud snow bird.
He usually lives in Kansas but WINTER IN PHX – is #WORD.

He went to Dallas because his sister passed still he remained strong.
He’s got Hawaii plans – he plans to live long.vietnam-soldier-of-peace

I love that. We should all love life with no fear.
Had his father seen 2017, he’d have been married 70 years.

His father and mother were married for 69 years! What you say!?

The day for him is young, for his 50th wed anniversary – he plans to play.

That’s when he wants to go to Hawaii.
I yielded to his zest. Yes – nothing could stop me.

He’s in his mid 60’s and making plans like he’s 30.
If you are younger and doing less – you’re living dirty!

Now I don’t usually talk on flights because my voice carries.
When I do, the tales I tell, the public – near, naturally marries.

That means FOLKS FOR MILES seem to hear me and respond,
I’m Qui
And Dallas was good to me especially the #ReturnFlightBond.
