Child, you’ve been on my mind
The DRAFT came and the draft went
and The COWBOYS did fine.
We needed help on the Corner Backline and scored.
We drafted 3 that couldn’t be ignored:
Taco was an awesome take away. We drafted him in the 1st round.
So Good morning Monday, let’s chart another funday
and start this day off with a productive pound.
So how did you sleep last night? Pretty sound?
I did until that ol’ rooster came around.
That’s what I call my iPhone 7’s alarm. The tone is just dirty.
Well, that’s how I feel when it goes off every morning at 4:30.
I’m always like, “Good Morning Monday.” It is you, whom I’m so glad to see.
Then I grab my cup of jo and mosey on over to chat it up here on QE.
What did you think about the White House Correspondents dinner?
The president didn’t attend and I read Hasan’s zingers were winners.
I didn’t attend it or watch it – I had an aging parent on my hip,
but I did manage to read a few highlights and see some funny clips.
I don’t have video links to share with you at this time, honey,
but I do have a few quotes that I thought was funny:
-
-
Poking Fun at Kellyanne Conway’s use of “Alternative Facts”“I would say it’s an honor to be here, but that would be an alternative fact. It is not. No one wanted to do this, so of course, it lands in the hands of an immigrant. That’s how it always goes down. No one wanted this gig! No one. Don Rickles died just so you wouldn’t ask him to take this gig. RIP to Don Rickles, the only Donald with thick enough skin to take a joke like that. RIP to the legend.”
-
Comparing the Trump Administration to Anthony Weiner“For the record, the WHCA is a group of journalists who cover the White House. They are not King Joffrey’s goons. So I am so glad you guys are all here tonight to honor a great tradition. Because we all know this Administration loves deleting history faster than Anthony Weiner when he hears footsteps. So thank you for being here.”

3. On Trump’s Absence at the WHCD
“I get it, we gotta address the elephant that’s not in the room. The leader of our country is not here and that’s because he lives in Moscow. It’s a very long flight. It’s hard for Vlad to make it. Vlad can’t just make it on a Saturday, it’s a Saturday! As for the other guy, I think he’s in Pennsylvania because he can’t take a joke.”
“I get why Donald Trump didn’t want to be roasted tonight. By the looks of him, he’s been roasting nonstop for the last 70 years. Historically, the President usually performs at the White House Correspondents; Dinner, but I think I speak for all of us when I say he’s done far too much bombing this month.”

In other news have you been watching that hit show wherein Sanaa Lathan was hired?
It broadcasts on FOX, the story lines are as explosive as it’s title: SHOTS FIRED.
Have you seen it? If not, YOU MUST. It’s a view from our community; a default that we face,
It stars Helen Hunt, Will Patton and that dude that played Jesse Owens in Race.
You did see the film Race, didn’t you? Well fear not if you did not see.
It’s never too late to cop a view on your plate via a myriad of avenues including DVD.
Sanaa’s co-star on SHOTS FIRED does have a name —
His parents blessed him: Stephan Jones and I like his game.
The cast chemistry is great and the writers are keeping it real.
SHOTS FIRED has that direct art-imitating-life kind of feel.
What makes this show different than other cop shows that I don’t watch,
is that besides the banging story lines I like this POV of DOJ & the cops.
It reveals to me that while sensational cases are exploitable flirty —
this series makes a strong case that ALL COPS ARE NOT DIRTY.
My word, have you ever heard? And isn’t this important to see?
FOX is heading up another winner, this could have easily been on ABC.
Ooo wee, the cast chemistry is sweet and the writers are so direct.
Ashe Akino and Preston Terry navigate into the scary to keep all in check.
Not quite Mulder and Scully or NY Undercover’s Det. Williams and Torres.
Ashe Akino and Preston Terry are noir pioneers and DOJ lead.
I find the view to be attractive, appealing, educating and a new must.
It’s nice to see men and women of the law that look like me – bridging trust.
We are people with menial differences like the color on the front side of our hands.
Though we are greater connected in spirit; way to easy to relate to and understand.
This is what SHOTS FIRED is yielding me. A little comradery connect.
Again the cast, the writing crew, location and appealing views will keep me coming back.
Good Morning Monday! I’m awake and watching ON DEMAND, 🙂
I’m Qui
Sipping and chatting it up with thee, because the view before us is never bland.
From the fictional write ups to DC and the real law of the land…
Child, we’d be better off to put it all in Gods hands.
I do.
Good Morning Monday, I love you, too.
