Every now and again, you gotta’ play catch-up
My goodness – good morning and how do you do?
I’m up before the sun, well just an hour or two.
My weekend was long, my weekend was strong.
I spent it with my best friend – it was just us, alone.
And I liked it.
We had a few cocktails – that spiked it.
It was a good time had.
Together we kick backed and laughed.
No cable news was on, but we felt the plea of humanity — without words.
Some parts of Texas, Florida, Puerta Rico and The Virgin Islands look third world.
I know that help is already in progress and in play,
Though I am concerned with the total time that some have had to wait.
About America – what does it say? I’ll tell you what:
The administration needs its department heads to staff up.
Shrinking government – in hopes to enlarge the rich crony cut?
Uh-huh. If only the twittering prez would get out of his head; rest and wise up.
Some folks want less lip and a little more compassion and love.
The hurricane survivors are some of those folks that I’m speaking of.
I believe rebuilding will happen,
In due time and in good fashion.
It’s what we do. Right?
So say a prayer and send a donation for your fellow Americans plight:
Good morning sweetheart. I’m certainly glad we’ve made it thus far.
I thank God for our better future, both near and afar.
I thank you for dropping by – you’re the MVP; the VIP star!
I’m Qui
A bit love-tipsy at 4 in the morning – and it ain’t from the bar.
I really missed you, much.
It’s always good to catch-up.
