Almost two decades ago some of you planted seeds
and you weren’t sure if they were productive or mini-me weeds.

They’re high schooler’s now and are building quite the connection –
peer-to-peer, they’ll be eighteen in a year; and impacting elections.

Saturday, March 24th will manifest their “March for Our Lives,” plea.
Congress will listen. Our children will lead.

I support their cause, but unfortunately, I won’t be present on the hill this weekend.
I’ll be here revising my English composition essay with a beloved collegiate friend.

I’m Qui
in which case, I’d be ending this piece by saying, “try to find me on TV!”

Children protesting for change will be a commendable and nostalgic thing to see.

GETTING IN THE GROOT

groot_gif.gif

It’s Friday, a high-day;
a necessary fly-day.

A ‘do what you can to win‘ day.’
A ‘play fair and make a friend’ day.

It’s Friday, a high-day,
tell the universe, “It’s my day!”

Let your hair down; experience life at your best.
Meditate early in the day; focus on your breath.

I just finished doing my meditative part.
I focused on my mind; I focused on my heart.

You can do this in Arizona

I thought about the world up close and from a distance
and concluded there’s no time available to be living resistant.

Global warming is present. The juxtaposition of weather conditions are unreal.
My friend, Marc is shoveling show in Brooklyn while I’m sporting a Daisy Duke appeal.

Remember, I am in Arizona —
where fair weather and varying degrees of heat ‘stay up on ya.’

Still, when it comes to conjuring a thought on a day of snow in the ‘zone — I love it.
My beloved Marc stays fit-as-a-whip because over in New York he shovels it.

It’s amazing how the sky does its thing.
It’s amazing how global warming is affecting our Spring.

I’m into Mother Earth and since I live here I’ve developed a knack
of living off of her produce, planting seeds and giving back.

It’s just a cool thing to do and so on this Friday around 3,
I’ll be outside unearthing soil and planting a new tree.

I just want to give back.
Mother Earth is our girl; she always has our back.

Whose back do you have? Are you mindfully sowing seeds?
Today is Friday, a high-day, your stewardship is what Earth needs.

Feeling majestic? Plant a tree. Feeling grounded? Plant a bush,
I’m Qui
Feeling flirty about getting dirty so I’m rising up and off of my tush

and being proactive about global warming.
