You ever heard of the term, turn tail and run?
Well right about now, that sounds kind of fun.

Can anyone tell me where Mos Def went?
I’m currently considering how my savings will be spent.

It looks like I may need to consider – sooner than later,
just how I’ll survive “the swamp,” its snakes and gators.

You gotta know when to hold ’em
know when to fold ’em
know when to walk away,
know when to run…

because something on the hill is very rotten.
For by the adversary, we stand naked – to be gotten.

We must refrain from using the word “mistruth” when it’s a lie.
I don’t desire a comrade who wishes democracy to die.

God has given us the earth, our lives, love, and freedom.
Not for a select few, but for every breathing one.

Careful not to sit back and have your democracy undone
because an elite few prefer to consume the majority of the sum.

Paying more taxes will cut into your yum-yum. How are those tax cuts working out you?
You’re definitely paying and the government isn’t playing when your bill comes due.

It’s the America we love; our tax dollars always pull us through.
Nevermind the government’s dime, he can depend on me and you.

Are you voting frequently too? I really need you to be.
I can’t say enough about us needing more love and respect for democracy.

Alas, the week is coming to a close, I’ve enjoyed it; it’s really been fun.
I’m Qui
and as rough as it’s been, I’m your dependable friend, I’m not going to turn tail and run.

Democracy is a worthy sum.

VOTE.
