Episode 11 took-out Reverend Pinky and Jade’s boyfriend, Khalil.
It had an emotional, roller coaster feel.

Episode 12 brought my girl Perenna (portrayed by Erika Alexander) back in.
Her metaphysics are strong like ethanol gin.

Hm. Let’s see… Where do I begin?

Thunder went into the trap and duly kicked the ass
of Black Bird & his crew – and then she took their cash.

For two reasons – if you’re inclined to ask:

1) for Black Bird putting his hands on his gal
2) to pay for Khalil’s funeral; because she’s a pal.

But stealing Black Bird’s money didn’t come without a price,
La Thunder chica almost lost her life.

Black Bird’s boys put it on her; they weren’t for that jive.
One of them mased her face and vulnerable became her life.

Though she healed up quickly and remains strong,
I’m digging her existence and hopes she goes long.

Dear Black Lightning:
Your new suit is exciting.

The series’ fresh content yields praise to the writers and to the producers.
Peep the above-the-line cast; magic is made by reel juicers.

At the conclusion of the episode we witnessed Khalil laid into the ground;
we also saw Tobias planning to live as Jade plans to take him down.

I wish I had a whole bag of rotten papayas,
I would throw them all at Black Lightning’s Tobias.

But when you really think about it, he is the sum of awesome character development.
