There’s no reason to not take pride in “living in the moment.”
And there’s nothing worst than not seeing a thing because you’re all-up-on-it.
Are you? Living in the moment and blinded by the view?
If ever there was time see clearly – drink not the surface brew.
It doesn’t smell right and it’s not good for you.
Dare I say that you are wise if you’re feeling confused.
Reality is infused with what you yearn to hear.
Society appears to be losing its glue, year by year.
When will it stop.
Look past your nose and wipe the snot.
Refocus your eyes and look straight ahead.
React not only to visuals, but what is said.
We don’t need a 24-hour news channel to divvy us insight
on why we can’t trust everyone or how to spot a lie.
We don’t need much outside interference at all.
I believe in us and we got this – let’s get out there and play ball
for the long run.
Change may not feel like fun,
but it is necessary,
if it’s a great future that we intend to carry.
Let unity be the mate that we marry.
Let us realize we need each other to ultimately tarry.
Earth is aging a little, so let us be her youth.
In fact ditch the aged vision for an adolescents view.
No one is asking you to be a tree hugger,
but to recognize our global issues and become a lover
of humanity.
Please turn things around for our legacy families.
We can do it.
You and I; let’s do pursue it:
Look Beyond The Moment and our own nose.
Consider our future and lessen our foes.
Consider yielding more love – first dibs to ourselves.
Then love-on our neighbors; live less for the wealth.
Wealth should not be the ultimate goal.
Use your time on Earth to love and enrich your soul.
Dig your toes into the sand of your favorite beach,
be fruitful and multiply; each generation should teach
about the perils of the past and how we used to be.
Let’s finally live out the facade that is our good history.
We can make it true.
Put more love in the red, the white, and the blue.
Start with loving you, then lean over and give me some, please,
I’m Qui
taking a Look Beyond The Moment and it ‘sho looks sweet, to me.
Meet me out back by the lemon tree
and let’s make some delicious unity.
