Just because you misplaced your keys 3 times in the same hour,
don’t let it turn your good mood to sour.
Let up on watching television and play more brain games.
The mind is great and beautiful; a terrible thing to waste.
So, don’t be a waste. I’ll add to that and ever so blunt,
Appearing to be addle – is a label that you don’t want.
No siree. Not you. Not me.

Today is WORD PLAY WEDNESDAY and I wanted to introduce a new word.
According to world news on our country’s views, “addle” is our verb.
Yep. It seems to be word; an adjective sum for our lack.
I just thought I’d let you know, “Yes. Folks are talking behind our back.”
But you knew that. No need to conjure up a new fuss.
Remember I mentioned a few weeks back that we may be on the shorter bus.
Remember? Naw. That wasn’t back in November; that was in March.
Yeah, we meant to be great; we meant to be smart.
It’s okay America. We will eventually pull through.
There’s a general election that requires our due.
The election is in November.
Set an alarm for it – so that you remember.
Vote by mail-in ballot if you can because COVID will still be around.
If you cannot just wear PPE to poll-vote in town.
This election will prove to be profound and fundamental to what life will look like;
lest we remain in the feeble lane while all the other countries shape global life.
We got this! Voting is your privilege – it is being challenged and battled.
I pray that we all vote clearly; lest we continue to collectively look addle.
