Recently I bought a new SINGER Sewing Machine to customize my fashion scene.
I’ve not ever been into the label’s of others – if you know what I mean.
Marc Jacobs is clean but he never spoke to me.
My eye has long admired the styles of India Arie.
Something to fall past my neck and catch a drape at my breast.
A piece that will then hit the curves of my hips and lightly rest.
I love the shape of my body. I love the way clothes feel
when they are tailored for me to enhance/increase my visual appeal.
I used to rock Guess jeans when I was a teen.
I admit the Guess brand is still a favorite to me.
Not because I’m into wearing other peoples labels,
but because of the logo; a question mark in a triangle.
My name is Qui and qui is french for “who.”
Questions are followed by a question mark and signals to you
that an answer is expected.
The Guess logo and I are grammatically connected.
I am she who enjoys a good and captive slay.
Of course, I dig the styles of Jay’s virtuous Bey.
I endeavor to sew like Tina Knowles.
I am a child of destiny to my soul.
Oh me, oh my.
Where there is a challenge I aim to rise.
And so I suppose it’s no surprise that I’m going back to school
because I want my masters degree; learning is cool.
It should also be no surprise that I intend to come through
on my sewing endeavors and that I care about you.
If you don’t own your own mask and should I see you on the street,
I’ll likely gift you your own to help quell cough, spittle and sneeze.
I am a seed sower, and I’m sewing up-a-storm!
This quilt of love, compassion and humanity is quite my norm.
I’m into it. I’m into you. What are you wearing today?
I’m Qui
Good morning to thee. Life is new. I’m up to Singer slay.
I collect/hoard sewing machines. I still have the one I bought when I graduated from high school in 1966. I just can’t seem to part with them. LOL…
Wow! That is some historical stitching. lol! I love that you are a sewer and that you are sentimental about it. I learned to sew in middle school HOME ECONOMICS course – my grandmother was a professional seamstress who only used SINGER. So I couldn’t help but get my own and believe it or not, I have inherited one of my grandma’s sewing table and my new SINGER has defibrillated its capacity! 🙂 Thanks for dropping by and sharing your well sewn history with me. I appreciate the relation.
[…] societies are in class right now as global protesting rocks the world, Who me? I’m just SEWING UP SOME LOVE over here; I’m a hippy offspring […]
