You cannot make me talk about any of the current headlined news.

because corona virus cases rule the day.
We are 4.25% of the world pop but 1/4 of the corona cases are ours.
We used to be good wine to sip, today’s fumes indicate wine sour.
I hope to goodness that we are not drunk.
We laughed at Pepe LePew, but we are the skunk
and I don’t want to talk about it; you can’t make me.
Stuff like that will drive your ego and status quo crazy.
Things look a little hazy, so we’re going to have to close down the city.
Again? Did we reopen too soon? Now the Governors look silly.
There’s nothing willy-nilly about the number of American lives that have been lost.
Shutting down the country until we find out what’s what — is not too much of a cost.

Aw man, forget it.
I don’t want to talk about society – I pray thee.
It’s all a bit much and you can’t make me.
- Today is a new day; there is no bad,
so maybe we can talk about Mississippi’s new flag.
The people of MS took a vote and decided to forgo historical vain.
They returned with a strong tally reflecting the people want change.
I’m about unity, the cohesiveness of me and you,
therefore I have not been bothered with the removal of racist statues.
It’s not a pleasant thing to talk about and they were never pleasant to see.
I am for striking up conversation on the good that tomorrow may bring.
The world is watching us and when we march they lock-in step.
We may have snafued and skewed our view with the last prez-elect.
But
- November will yield us opportunity to score a different view.
You can’t make me talk about it – just so happens that I want to.
It’s okay to talk about tomorrow, for tomorrow holds our future.
It’s okay to heal from the surreal; let new unity provide the suture.
I woke up to a table full of topics and brand new polls
19% like the direction we’re headed in; God bless our souls.
Infection numbers are firmly in the red.
