Its KEY

The Closure

The top of a sew-in unit is called a closure, but I’m no weave stylist, so that has absolutely nothing to do with what I’m talking about, today.

Today is Friday; the last day in a week full of explosive and colorful revelations. From politics to the number of folks getting sick — there’s a lot to un-pack and sew-up before our situation can heal. Let’s get to it!

I miss you. I miss our coffee/lunch dates and our hiatus/rendezvous.
I miss sneaking up behind you, covering your eyes, and hugging you.

I do. Don’t you? The wind has brought in more than the flu.
Leaving the door wide open and… gosh, I miss you.

Please wear a mask every day, in and out of the house –
especially if others are around – who breathe from nose and mouth.

Wear gloves, if they’re available and keep hand sanitizer on-hand.
We can’t win this thing with only half of a marching band.

We need all hands-on deck to be thoroughly cleaned a.s.a.p.
If we are to close up this Covid thing and reclaim the lives of “we.”

I need thee and the good energy that you bring to revive unity
and stitch up our community;

to invoke America to sing a song of togetherness. I happily confess —  that when it comes to reconstructions, we do it best.

Trials come and trials go,
let our united spirit rise and show.

Our hole of discord needs to be closed.
Let us use our vote to administer a sew.

When someone tells you who they are – do nothing less than believe.
I’m Qui
With needle and thread, excited about the prospect of sewing peace.

I could use a hand. ❤
