A former fundamental Republican with a big bipartisan spirit made a graceful exit to the afterlife on Monday, October 18, 2021. Though not one minute before making our country proud by serving 35-years in the armed forces, serving as President Reagan’s National Security Advisor and President George W. Bush’s Secretary of State.

Building a long-lasting friendship with Senator John McCain, casting his 2012 Presidential Vote for a Democrat and the first Black President of this great country, voting and witnessing the first Black Woman Vice President sworn into office January 2020 reveals amazing character and a great deal of charm. Bipartisan much? I think it Bipartisanship was Mr. Powell’s unspoken middle name.

An amazing life was spanned between his born date and his end date; his objective was unity. A true pal sticks by you no matter what and Colin Powell stood with & by the United States until his last breath. It’s highly likely that he and John McCain met for brunch. I can imagine later he might hang out with John Lewis and Elijah Cummings, MLK, Malcolm X, Ruth Bader Ginsberg, and alas The Duke aka President Reagan may make an appearance, too.

The main ingredient of cohesive is love and Colin Powell had a lot of it. He didn’t let party nor rank status diminish his ability to be humane and love. Crossing over must feel like a party for a Cohesive Pal, especially for Colin Powell.
