Wait a minute Mr. Postman

My mailman is always happy on his route.

I have always been in awe of the postal office processes, the mailmen & women, and the postmaster. Because I had two aunts who retired from service and a cousin who is currently employed with the USPS (for decades now) – as a child, I thought every family had a member in it that worked for the post office; who wore those cute & comfort bearing uniforms:

The USPS brand palette of colors speaks volumes towards the services that they provide; delivering friendly, warm, comforting, and supportive parcels.

As a content creator, I couldn’t resist showing off the USPS’ Coolors. Coolors is a color palette generating tool that I use when creating visual content. Colors invoke emotion. Here’s a great write up on colors, branding, and how people react on 99Designs. It’s a quick read and I enjoyed it.

My multimedia composition career is a colorful one. Every day is new and every client brings a new campaign that needs to be composed, packaged, and delivered. I sit up, pop my knuckles, read the schematics, and drive home tailored text with images and an effective color palette to support the call to action.

Delivering digital content is my profession. Delivering mail content is the job of the postmaster and postal workers. Where are they and where is the mail?

Like Johnny Carson revealed time after time, no one knows and no one’s talking. In the red state where I live, delivering the community mail has long been a “contract gig” – at least for the last 3-years.

MY ANSWER: On purpose and to deter.

The reveal of THE QUESTION inside of the envelope that is pressed against my forehead reads: With November so close, what is the issue with the post office?

I’m no swami, I’m a content writer; most researched best – though I, too, put on a COGIC hat and pressed an envelope to my forehead.

The letter was dated one month back, but I had just received it. The contents had long come to past – so there was no urgency to read it.

I’d already talked to the addresser and they wondered, ‘did the post office eat it?  Then the song of MJ started to play – in thought; mail delivery “word” is beat it.

And life is rarely a bore – refer to the Democratic Convention. Pack comfy shoes & to-go food before hitting the polls and voice intention.

Life is at hand – let’s make it grand.  Pause on writing letters and visit if you can.

Mail in your ballots early and vote as early as allowed. This is the year to give Democracy a cheer. Vote and be loud!

You got this. Consider your due diligence to be patriotic fancy.  Be sure to bring your ear buds and jam. Alas, you got this Annie.

I’m here with you. Support is always key!

It’s the weekend baby – keep your eye on the U.P.
