In good company

Ever since the midterm vote and Kirsten Sinema‘s blue —
Arizona has been yielding a much friendlier hue.

I’m telling you and child it feels good.
What’s the vibe saying in your neighborhood?

I spend a lot of my dwelling time in the great state of Texas
and it used to be the color red between states that connected us.
But now that is not true,
Arizona has turned blue
And I’m loving “how the midterms has affected us.”

It really, really feels good, y’all.
Cheddars is the place to dine and stall.

Or so it was Saturday afternoon;
the diversity of patrons did swell and boom.

I eat at Cheddars in Texas and Arizona all of the time.
Originally established in Texas their hospitality shines.

Usually, when I dine in Arizona, my presence sticks out a lot,
The crowd is generally white but the menu hits the spot.

Arizona has a diverse bag of residents, though we haven’t really been mixing.
Folks weren’t sure if it was okay to be chatting, shooting the bull and chitting

about politics, familial affairs, or world news.
So, we held our peace and piece until A-Z turned blue.

Yoo-hoo! Neighbor-oo, how do you do?
I’ve been looking out of the window wanting to talk to you.

Can I offer you a cup of juice or how about coffee?
That’s the new dialogue that seems to be about me

when my melodious doorbell chimes and sings.
Prior to the midterm vote, I’d never heard the thing.

DING! DING!

The southwest atmosphere is absolutely better.
California is on fire,
I pray the Earth to become wetter.

I’m praying for rain.
If I was a Native and knew of a dance
I’d do the darn thang.’
California needs rain.

The atmosphere over there is rather smoky.
Please pray to God for rain, or soon we’ll all be choky.

Don’t be in a pot slowly boiling; don’t be a curious and an uninformed toddler.
Don’t be the casualty to a hot stove that’s only getting hotter.

You get my point? Now pass the joint because Cali’s weed fields are surely burning, 😀
I’m Qui
Happy to be
in Texas and A-Z where blue and purple reflects our yearning.

Turn to God and put-in on a feel-good vibe –  like Arizona’s atmosphere.
Let’s be kinder to each other more because God holds that stuff dear –
and then He won’t have a choice but to hear:
Cali needs rain.
