Well Rested and Format Tested

euphoriaEvery day for the last two weeks I have been a “reel tenderoni.”
I’ve been courting Phoenix in cinematic bliss,
via my new FS5, Sony.

I have utilized the exposure triangle to capture “the shot.”
Saturday morning I filmed Tempe Lake at the 911 Memorial spot
and I’ve been a little emotional over the footage that I got.

The FS5’s capacity is yielding to be quite hot.
I like the way she reels, I’m beginning to love her, a lot.

I’ve been taking her everywhere that I go.
Passerbyers star in my ‘reeled traffic show.’

I can’t keep my hands off of her.

Some of which are handed my card during their to and fro.
Good talent is hard to find, you know?

But if you look-the-part and pose for the camera as you pass me
I’m likely to divvy my card with visions of collab’ing on a cash heap.

Art is not cheap so I’m into paying
if the subject is committed to reel slaying.

Though the scenes that I have been shooting as of late have been for school,
I still run QuiFilms where neverending networking is infinitely cool.

I spent the weekend shooting from sun up to sun down.
I’ve been spending the wee hours of every night sleeping rock-solid sound.

It’s a good trade-off.
The hot and dusty atmosphere invokes a cough.

Still, observing Earth’s atmosphere and all who live here truly works for me,

Good morning baby. See the world through your beautiful lens and make it what you want to be.

Be sure to format your SDXC card before you leave for the day.
Be sure to format your life; this happens when you pray.

OBX early…

In News on March 17, 2015 at 6:38 am

FullSizeRenderI’m out here on the OUTER BANKS,
GOOD NETWORKING deserves all the thanks.

It’s St. Patty’s Day and we’ve got all the dranks…
Don’t you wish you were in the OUTER BANKS?

OBX is what they call it.
An exit out of the mundane squallin’.

Running not crawling, we took a flight to H-town
’tis a layover between our DC bound,

then we hopped a flight and road the cloud scene
that landed us safely into Washington, DC.

Anxious to be on grounded soil but not kissing the flo’
we hopped a shuttle to transport us to the condo.

Day one, two, three, fo’ — we filmed the day
People coming to and fro and, most had something kind to say.

The National Mall was all that you thought it was and I really can not say
how much my heart was overwhelmed in visiting the monument of MLK.

Qui n MLK

Tears void of fear but of legacy, history and love.
Diverse were those around me — I felt evolution in the ))hug((.

There were middle school children on field trips and non-black teachers doing the talk.
The kids were traipsing through the mall and peeping my ethnic style of walk.

They stared, but I didn’t squawk. I don’t know where they’re from.
They could’ve been staring, because they were curious or caring, and not being rude or dumb.

So I smiled at each one that was locked in a trance staring duly at me.
I wasn’t wearing shades and stared them back in the face, once they saw the eyes of me,

and then I smiled with all of my pearly whites between lips on show.
That’s when their stare would cease and no looking at me – no ‘mo.

It was fun – yo!, they were innocent, though I had a feeling on that scene,
that those kids hadn’t seen many black folk, beyond the memorial of Dr. King.

The beauty of Washington, DC squinted out of view
as I rode out for OBX with the traveling film crew.

That was Sunday, today is Tuesday and in case you didn’t see,
I woke up to this scene at 6:53:

It’s beautiful in the OBX early and I’m happy to be #Reeling the onset of Spring,

Hello baby – how are you really doing?
Are you surviving this congressional screwing?

Are your wages low and the rent too damn high?
Are you enjoying the staple poverty in your life?

Are you so sick of being last – so sick you could choke?
Well 201 2 is your chance to speak out and vote.

Wall Street is hosting a protest as we speak.
The people are peaceful in lining up in the street.

It’s now 13 days past & they’re still in organize.
A commander is being investigated for pepper spraying eyes. *(click link see video)

The media footage that exploits it was taken this weekend,
The brutality is so raw, it looks like 1968 again;

However the bullied protesters this time have white skin.
Ah-ha! Let the UNCIVIL investigation begin .

Herman Cain is doing his thang in the GOP run,
But he won’t win the nomination grin – he’s for good ideas and fun.

Disrespect? I mean absolutely none.
I dig his mind – he’s an intriguing sum. 🙂

Chris Christy is being called out of his comfort zone and into the spotlight.
He boasts he feels the presidential call – but the timing (for him), is just not right.

Rick Perry is down in the polls, he just doesn’t debate too well.
His charm was short lived – the tea party taketh & give
and have shot his once lead straight to hell.

Have a heart and take heart Perry, Everything will be cool.
At least illegal immigrants will be able to afford collegiate school.

I feel the same way as you brother and I’m certainly not taking it back.
But then again, I’m a liberal friend – a brotherly loving Democrat.

And the beat goes on, Life is surely good to me.
I awake everyday to film smiles for miles–
Those Happy Reflections are KEY.

I feel like it’s spring, with the allergies to match.
Texas is the place to be if tour selling things like a non allergy patch.

Excuse me, and I’m back on beat again,

A REEL Journey

So I reel footage into my camera by way of my dual P2 card chamber. It’s great. No tape rewinding & the quality is clearly more superior. However my camera model does have the capacity to reel on DV tape which is good because one of my P2 cards have just died.

I prayed it wasn’t so…
A comparable of Real LIFE
it too had to go.

I bought both P2 cards in 2008 so I can’t complain. I’ve been anything but “easy” on them. I film anything & almost everything of interest (be it unusual or necessary). I love to reel in reflections. I reformat the cards as often as possible…and I’m now wondering if that has any credence towards “wearing them out”?

This filming thing is a journey. I LOVE IT.

You’re either a people person or you’re not… I soooo am. LOL! I think I’m more into “people” than they are into themselves. And once they realize my genuinity is equally for the whole & all parties involved by the end of the day I’ve made new friends and professional associates.

I’m fine with that. My QUALITY over QUANTITY journey is about “positively effecting others & leaving then happier than they were before I arrived.” It works for me. I was born born for it. Though I’m early (still) in my journey I am certain that this is my purpose: to make people feel good & capture it on film.

As funky as “that” sounds – stall me out & raise the bar. 🙂
I’m a positive spirit – not PAPARRAZI in search of porn stars. lol!

I do like the REEL – this JOURNEY is mine.
It’s long been my calling – before I’d ever made a dime.

I do like the friendships that arise out of a few takes,

Glad to be me on my journey – life is what you make…

So what path are you blazing?
Live your purpose. Love your journey.

The nicest people….

In Communication, Griot, Networking on July 2, 2011 at 5:50 pm

Small Business CommercialsI’m a videographer and all day long I run around filming small business owners with the sole intent to utilize the :30 commercial for online advertisement and ultimately increase their front door traffic. It’s a fabulous gig – indeed. To me — nothing could be finer, so I wake up daily with a smile on my face and ready to go.

While I know that a huge part of my destiny is filming I honestly get a big kick out of meeting small business owners. They are “The nicest people.”

Nothing says LIFE like passion. I’ve yet to shoot a small business executive that wasn’t excited and on fire about his business. The real life-to-lens translation is contagious. I shoot in HD and the positive energy that radiates from the small business owner(s) resonates throughout the room, is caught on film and makes my job real easy. I love it – all the day long.

I can identify with their day-to-day struggles, for I too am a small business owner. Your bad –if you thought I was working with an MGM budget. I wish! I’m closer to filming outside with a hat on the ground next to me – (to catch my tips). Just knowing that I don’t have to peddle random film footage on the stret intensifies my happy day to day energy. Yeahhhh!

My job wouldn’t be all that” if it weren’t for “The nicest people”
whose small business moxy radiates from their steeples.

First impressions are everything— making you either EASY or HARD to forget,
I’m Qui
accumulating a long list of hard to forgets – because so far, I’ve been overly impressed.

Working for self is absolutely the best
and “The nicest people” have been the greatest part of it yet.
Bet!
