And It Just Gets Better

Life. Love. Wants. Desires. The more that I marinate in season, the hotter ‘my fire. And I’m not talking about “the change.” I’m having hot flashes, but menopause ain’t his name.

Please feel me. Good love can heal thee.

I should know, I hurt my back doing laundry the other day, but percale aerobics worked that glitch out-and-away.

I am thankful for that — there were calories burned, and I arose with less fat. Oh, snap!

The news is full of gloom, so turn it off. Vaccinations are on way – please steer clear of all coughs.

In the meantime, stay inside and dimensionally work-it-out. Life is doing her thing — resist unnecessary pout. Give all issues to God; He’ll work them out. Don’t forget to ask for endurance for the percale bounce.”

You know that I like it! Of course, I’d use a low-key Friday to invoke high feelings. Yield no energy to going-out today, instead stay-in for sexual healing

There I said it. Please tell me that you are not reading this out loud — at church, in the car with kids, or a subway in front of a crowd?

If you are doing any of that then you are quite the interesting goer. I am a woman of polls, do tell how’d the “out-loud reading” go over?

If you’re shy, you should give it a try. Read Griot aloud, like a DEF POETRY JAM vibe.

That –ish would be live and I’d listen. Let your words about reflective verbs flow and glisten.

And It Just Gets Better; life, love, and understanding emotions — learning to love the water and swim across oceans. Life is literally a day at the beach; Do Not Drown in the motions.

If you want to kick-life-up a notch engage in meditation and daily devotion. It rocks!

I began this morning as focused as any go-getter,

The Way Things Are Shaking Out

In Communication, education, Griot, News, Self Improvement on November 20, 2020 at 4:32 am
Come on lil fella – shake a tail.

Good morning, good looking. How are you today? What time did you wake up? Did you kneel and pray?

I sure hope so, because today holds a lot. If Friday isn’t your payday, you probably aren’t looking for squat.

But you should be. The fact that you are alive is key.

Vibrate higher. Be a composer of good and then be a sire.

Good morning, good looking. How’s it shaking? If doing good isn’t 1st nature to you – get to faking.

Jit-up good intent until it’s authentically you. Allow today to ‘shake-out a much better hue.

Days until 2021? We still have a few. Good morning, good looking. What will 2021 bring through?

I’d rather focus on next week and compose a plan to cut-short covid19 jeers. 2020 has been blurry, hate-plentiful & in a hurry; I pray for change for next year.

The way it’s shaking out right now, the President-Elect Joe Biden is still on the runway, — awaiting his taxi into the WHITE HOUSE, but no welcome has been composed for the relay.

I wish it weren’t true, I truly wish things were at a different sum. I wish that the current administration would concede and then welcome.

I wish that Americans who didn’t get their choice of President-Elect would take patriotic form — and support the winners of the 2020 election and voice their hurt in a poem.

It’s what I did four years ago when Hillary Clinton was denied — her rightful place as the popular-vote winner, before decency died.

I was hurt, and I cried. Then I stood up and marched on. —  I wrote a poem with no alarm and continued to support America; home.

It’s what’s we do when things don’t shake-out the way that we want them to. We pick ourselves up and pray for safe passage to make it through.

Give ol’ Sulk-a-lot the boot. I did it 4-years back — now you can too.

We’re Americans; we unite. It’s just what we do. We calibrate for unity — democracy rules.

Vote recounts have gone-on in a couple of states, perhaps even a few. We’re Americans; we unite, and we accept reality’s truths.

The way that things have shaken-out this year… they have yielded us plenty. It’s been fun. Thank God we’re almost done. I look forward to Jan. 20.

What are your thoughts? What good will today toss-up or bring about?

The Closure

In Communication, education, Griot, News, Self Improvement on September 11, 2020 at 4:50 am

The top of a sew-in unit is called a closure, but I’m no weave stylist, so that has absolutely nothing to do with what I’m talking about, today.

Today is Friday; the last day in a week full of explosive and colorful revelations. From politics to the number of folks getting sick — there’s a lot to un-pack and sew-up before our situation can heal. Let’s get to it!

I miss you. I miss our coffee/lunch dates and our hiatus/rendezvous.
I miss sneaking up behind you, covering your eyes, and hugging you.

I do. Don’t you? The wind has brought in more than the flu.
Leaving the door wide open and… gosh, I miss you.

Please wear a mask every day, in and out of the house –
especially if others are around – who breathe from nose and mouth.

Wear gloves, if they’re available and keep hand sanitizer on-hand.
We can’t win this thing with only half of a marching band.

We need all hands-on deck to be thoroughly cleaned a.s.a.p.
If we are to close up this Covid thing and reclaim the lives of “we.”

I need thee and the good energy that you bring to revive unity
and stitch up our community;

to invoke America to sing a song of togetherness. I happily confess —  that when it comes to reconstructions, we do it best.

Trials come and trials go,
let our united spirit rise and show.

Our hole of discord needs to be closed.
Let us use our vote to administer a sew.

When someone tells you who they are – do nothing less than believe.

With needle and thread, excited about the prospect of sewing peace.

I could use a hand. ❤
