ROCKY and BRUISED are kin.

Halle Berry is the Director and Protagonist of BRUISED. She does a knock-out job portraying Jackie “Pretty Bull” Justice; a former bad arsed UFC fighter who was undefeated until she was defeated and that’s where the film begins.

Against unbelievable odds Berry Directs and fights like a man. I am a fan of Stallone’s ROCKY film series, and especially the first and original ROCKY. Stallone wrote, directed and starred in ROCKY.

I am fan of “the fight for life,” and what it might entail:

The struggle.
The pain.
The realization.
The low.
The fight.
The rise.

ROCKY’s intentional emotions bled through the screen and resonated with the audience on personal levels best explained by the theorems of Behavioral Science. BRUISED yields the same gut punch.

Good looks (genetics) are on display in both films…

Good looks can be a blessing and a curse.
For after an “L” or two, one’s appearance could start to slur:

Spot the resemblance…

Beauty is born out of chaos. It’s science; it’s human, it’s Rocky and Jackie Justice’s story. BRUISED is a recipe of great story written by Michelle Rosenfarb and great storytelling –because Berry directs the snot of it. Or at least out of me. I cried like a baby at almost every emotional cue. I’m easy that way… I don’t mind being in touch with my emotions.

Life is short, I want to feel it and Berry let me have it. That’s when I looked at the young lady next to me and said, “Is Bruised Rocky’s little sister?” She replied, “I thought I recognized that heart.” While not DNA exacto BRUISED is kin to ROCKY. If you haven’t already seen this knockout film, peep it on Netflix – it’s a game changer towards the price of reimagining women lead roles. I love it. It’s rough, non-binary and insightful. I had to share it with you because Big takes care of little.”

This film is outstanding! Put it on your list and persue it.
Jackie is hetero,- though there’s a scene where she’s fluid.

And life ain’t always pretty, still we go forward; we do it.
If pains contain fractures, strains,  and maternity refrains? How do you do it?

Rocky was strong in the face of adversity;
blessed to have Adrian and Micky’s solidarity.

Jackie has a mom, who is damaged and less whole,
though by the end of the film I sensed a better maternal soul.

Women are starring in roles that expose their lows
in order to help heal, lift up, and render them whole.

This is how film becomes education:
find the part that speaks to you and ride the positive relation.

Buddakhan is the name of Berry’s cast mate co-star
who trains warriors how to level up and kick start.

Buddakhan and Justice shared a very intimate scene.
It was classy, it was light; deux femmes on fine sheets.

The film is all action, emotion & heart. I flinched, I cried and laughed alike,
I’m Qui
Being reel with thee to fight for what can be — per Halle Berry and a BRUISED life.

The kin herein is our relative will to survive.

Care you to LEVEL UP, push through and purposefully thrive?

Ooo wee and yes lawd, things are getting a bit hot.
I’ve got it, he want’s it — not sure if I want to ‘get got.’

If loving you is WRITE I don’t want to be wrong.
I’m DNA to the southern pin up Carmen Jones.

Not quite Louisianan; I don’t read chicken bones.
I’m a hallelujah girl – Jesus is my ‘jones.

I pray. I walk a key & tailored line…
the view is good from the front – the view is good from behind

and good lawd — the deeds that do occupy my time
are good for me; my colorful sublime.

I can’t physically bottle it but I can type it out.
A literal Monday will be my lips pout.

MAC Gold. Lips sticking out but I’m not mad nor hurt,
This fire I’m fanning is quite the invoking flirt.
blonde-qui-pretty-feet-best.gifIt’s drawing me in and pulling up my skirt,
it’s roughing up my hair, but no — it doesn’t hurt.

It’s firm and it’s good…
you know that paper is made from wood.

Wood is a natural erection. Nature gives us that.
And now a forest is before me so with my ax – I’m up to bat.

The day is young however when it gets old,
I’m stacking enough wood to stave off future colds.

It’s pouring out of me, so today I will produce and concept bottle.
I’ve got my laptop, my coffee pot and I’m on CREATION THROTTLE

and it feels good.
I’m making wood.

It could get you hard…
Good lawd.

But I’m willing to bet
if you’re “about that skirt” – it’ll get you wet.

The skirt that I flaunt produces color and excites…
comparable to what you’d see on Brown Suga or that OWN Network of writes.

An insight of delights and the title list is long:
Intellectual, action-packed, and chemistry strong.

My creative mood is quite firm, so I’m going hard!
Happiness is about me, ooo wee and good lawd.

When crafting life imitating pieces many canvases may be used.
Sometimes I strike and start over, other times I blur and fuse.

It all depends on the relatives of the situation at hand…
I’ll either seduce like Shondra Rhimes or execute like that Shakespeare man.

To let go and let it flow is my 24-hour plan. I am that lady.
I’m Qui
and Mondays Maybe is My Sure Fire Baby.

I’ll be thinking about you too.

Tuesday Morning Special

Ring The Bell – For The NFL

Yes! Yes! I’m so glad it’s football season
for the vibe that fans release – is my chief reason.

I’m not a STAT’s girl, but I love the unity
that comes with football season. It’s really good to me.

Though I must admit, I had to look twice
at the headline news on Ray Rice.

After the security video footage shows
his gf had taken a 1-2-punch 4-doze,
somewhere beyond the elevator door,
and then exited knees down, face to the floor.

No. It’s not good press. No gain or get-ahead.
Now Whoopi’s under review for what she said.

ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith apologizes for comment made on Ray Rice’s situation

Whoopi isn’t defending Ray for knocking his girlfriend out,
she’s stressing, HIT NO-ONE lest you risk being knocked out.

Be it girl or be it boy – put your hands on no man
or you too, may realize an unconscious knee-2-face land.

It’s true. It ain’t pretty.
Betting on chivalry – is a pity.

And so on this Tuesday Morning, I bid you early
to hit no man – especially if he’s burly.

Okay, please tell me that you are still watching
CBS’s EXTANT? It’s cinema-show-stopping.

Each week get’s better and better
The writing is so cold – I watch wearing a sweater.

I’m kidding. I’m kidding. It’s way too hot to cover up,
though I am still curious as to whose baby is in ‘the cut?’

Molly’s fetus is growing and the galactic ring symbols are concerning.
I mean, Molly always wanted a baby, but by an alien, isn’t what she was yearning.

Or is it an alien co-breed at all? Her friend, Alan, is acting up.
I’m trying to hear what he’s saying, but I don’t feel at ease, to trust.

We know he’s keeping something about his friend and her body.
But why not divulge all — when clearly asked by Molly?

Good God o’ mighty. I’m certainly filled with proclivity.
Dare I say, I’m scared away by good writing and cinemactvity?

I am not.
This stuff is HOT!

November will be 10 years old on October 15, 2014. Besides old age, he’s suffering from the effects of Valley Fever.

It is indeed Tuesday Morning and I feel Special to be alive.
I could’ve lost my life last Saturday evening on a routine highway drive.

I’m so happy to be here, WordPress kin. So happy to be here with you.
I’m sipping a cup of jo, I’ve already eaten a waffle or two.

I’m feeling real good on this morning, though November, my dog, isn’t.
He’s still with me, for the moment; approaching a decade with me and him.

I woke up yesterday morning, preparing to do my Monday blog write
only to find November on the rectified laundry room floor, barely alive.

I did consult a vet and the vet did duly say
November has lived a good life, and his exit is on the way.

I don’t know what more to say. My kid is trying her best to be strong.
She doesn’t want to euthanize – and I concur.  Are we wrong?

We have another vet appointment tomorrow – I suppose then I’ll face my fears.
Do keep November in your prayers. I know his end is near.

And with that, I move on. Today will be the best Tuesday that I can render,
I’m Qui
feeling quite Special this Morning. I am the #PositivePushing defender.
