Key BLACK HISTORY: Multi Media PLAYERS IV

In Communication, Griot, Movies, Networking, News, Self Improvement, TV Shows, Video on February 24, 2020 at 6:30 am

Alright, Good People: I’m at it again, with something that you can feel
in the spirit of Black History, I’m thrown back to JORDAN PEELE.

Have you seen the new Amazon series THE HUNTERS?
It parallels todays hell; the script is a punter.

I am enjoying the series install.
It’s a throwback view of — us all.

This show takes a particular look into hate,
the law, the people; a legacy page.

A lot is up for debate on this piece.
Composed of real stories, yet hard to believe.

Give it up people: for content creators who keep it real.
Give it up people:  for the history of Jordan Peele.

He is showing you yourself – regardless of your race.
The Hunters series has potential; may it take its place.

HOME. I am an American. The American way yields an intellectual key.
Home. I am an American; I am about her values and BLACK HISTORY.

BAD BOYS For LIFESpeaking of making history, let’s talk about Martin and Will —
and the alchemy of good times they have captured in their reel.

BAD BOYS came back this year and made history;
approaching $200 million box office reception carries mystery.

Like, why is it that folks have turned out to see them in show?
Is it likely we missed the days of wholesome entertainment, so….

We bought tickets to sit in the theater and be consumed
with yesterdays situation and these beloved two.

What is it about yesterday that invokes us to congregate,
pay a door fee in hopes to rewind history and improve today?

Whatever it is… let’s all hold to it.
When it comes to supporting Box Office Numbers
please continue to DO IT.

The BAD BOYS franchise is raking it all in
because yesterday was good and karma is a friend.

Not to mention that one of the cast members claims to be an Alchemist.
Both relate in laughter, though making gold belongs to Will.

He remains reflecting that “go getters appeal.”
Martin Lawrence is still the neighbor who ‘we feel.’

Scripting realities is quite the reflection of yet another —
Mr. Writer/Director/Executive Producer, Donald Glover.

Donald is Childish Gambino (the musician) and he knows full well,
what type of patience it takes to produce: A-T-L.

It’s been off of the air for a spell but is slated to come back with plenty.
In 2018 FX renewed for Season 3 and 4 to be broadcast the year after 2020.

It’s not easy being independent. So many of us want to be.
So give it up to the brother that embodies it; give it up DG/CG.

Which brings to mind another no limit storyteller
Curtis “50Cent” Jackson gets better and better!

Have you seen the view of his latest characteristic plight?
It stars Nicholas Pinnock in a new series called FOR LIFE:

Like Power, FOR LIFE takes off quickly.
The storyline is relative and connects swiftly.

A Multi Media Player usually plays more than one role;
an influencer of views to be told and to be sold.

Any chance that you’re watching either of these shows?
Your support is appreciated and I hope the show moves your soul.

Black History month is short and perhaps that was the calendar goal.
I am grateful for any reservations to culture-uplift and boast.

I’m a Multi-Media player; I write, chronicle, direct and shoot,
I’m Qui
Just taking a moment with thee to shine a light on our Black AmericanRoots.

Key BLACK HISTORY: Multi Media PLAYERS II

In Communication, Griot, Networking, News, Self Improvement, TV Shows, Video on February 12, 2020 at 8:19 am

TUNE IN TONIGHT @ 8/7c

.

Multi Media – when defined as an adjective (of art, education, etc.) refers to using more than one medium of expression or communication. “A multimedia art form”
As a noun the term is defined as the use of a variety of artistic or communicative media.

Which is the perfect description, (in some aspect) of every PLAYER that we highlight in this piece. What do yo know about:

The Pisces and chameleon JORDAN PEELE?
I first took notice of him during a show titled Key and Peele,
and then he busted the box offices with creative & reflective reel.

GET OUT and US are digital releases that I own.
Jordan Peele is a Multi Media Player and one who’s quite strong.

I’d like to get him on the phone and bring up Issa Rae;
talk about collaborating and then call Issa on three way.

ISSA RAE, Issa Rae. Girl what do you say?
You are no longer INSECURE in any way

and it’s a good look.
Ass is getting fat,” cause your content hooks.

I am paying attention, I am learning and I laugh.
I’ll see you at this weekend’s opening of:  THE PHOTOGRAPH.

Though tonight belongs to – la bella, AVA DUVERNAY
as she broaches Day 2 of: CHERISH THE DAY.

It is Key that we continue to understand our BLACK HISTORY.
Ava takes on Black Love because it shouldn’t remain a mystery.
#Anthology

The view is kissing me. Let it kiss you back.
Today’s topic is historic on the legacy that is Black,

and not only that, but the production cast and crew is Full Gender Parody.
That means 50/50 on the sexes; an even-playing-field is always key.

I need you and you need me.
Give it up for Ava and opportunity.

The world is changing and we should all strive to be stronger and leaner.
The views are showing up more true, like those seen in GRASS IS GREENER.

Have you seen her? The documentary that claims —
there’s been a miscomprehension on the necessity of Mary Jane.

FAB5FREDDY is no newbie to Multi-Media; he’s long been a reel player.
So, when it came to documenting weed? Fab5 took the lead as ‘the slayer.’

Nothing wrong with it.
I’m sure he researched the foliage before he ‘hit it.’ 😛

Still, he did it! He brought the topic to the forefront.
The documentary is blunt and yields an intellectual punt:

You don’t have to be a smoker to be concerned
about the legacy of a whole race of people being burned.

So many African Americans are still currently serving jail time,
behind a blunt on a roach clip from cirque 1969…

Or something like that.
There’s a legacy rotation on the puff-puff pass

in my community.
Like Native Americans – weed invokes unity.

The law has decided to let it be.
America’s GREEN LAWS are making history.

Let’s keep it up; lay good intentions like brick layers
and do it in plain site – like these Multi Media Players.

The children are watching us, so is the rest of the world.
I’m glad to be GENDER PARODY; highlighting boys and girls.

I’ve taken my cue from Ava and the rest,
I’m Qui
reflecting BLACK HISTORY – it’s me at my best.

Are you watching? Are you clocking?

A MoveMe vs A Movie

In Movies, Networking, News, TV Shows, Video on July 22, 2019 at 5:07 am

FilmProjector_ReelTapeWhat’s the difference between a #MoveMe and a #Movie?
Everything.

Just because both are excellent examples of #ReelScience and are entertaining – they are not the same.

Over the last 15-days I have patronized DIRECTV OnDemand and CINEMA services more than I have AMC and I must say my couch gives those theater recliners comfy-competition. Don’t get me wrong, I have lost no love for patronizing the movie theater – in fact, it’s just the opposite, between my homework and career, I have very little time for movie date nights or afternoon solo-movie outings.  Thank God for satellite and streaming services. The two movies that have inspired me did so equally; though they affected me differently. One is a #MoveMe and one is a #Movie:

FAST COLOR
+
US

Let’s talk about FAST COLOR first. Do you know Julia Hart?
I didn’t before this film and I love our introductory start.

FAST COLOR is about three generations of women within one family who have a relative supernatural gift that has global healing effects. Bo, (short for Bonnie) the matriarch and is portrayed by Lorraine Toussaint and her gift is being able to transform solids into atom-sized particles and manipulate them. Gugu Mbatha-Raw portrays Ruth, the only child of Bo who bears strong signs of checkered waywardness and self-inflicted hurdles from the past that are on a straight trajectory to the future  – unless something changes. Saniyya Sidney portrays Lila; she is the only beloved

grandchild of Bo’s and the daughter of Ruth. This film is not a feel-good-family feature in the beginning. To be fair, the opening of the film canvases what looks like a mother/young daughter bond processing before sharp transitional glitches propel the footage into a scene of chaos only including a young girl.

After a few jarring scene snippets at the opening, I figured that the writer/director was trying to piece something together for us; though for me, the pieces did not quite fit. Then ACT 2 brought it all together…literally. Fast Colors is about being able to see your purpose; previsualizing the task before you and working it out accordingly. This family’s life task would not only serve them well in becoming a tighter family unit but it actually offered a huge benefit to the world.

Their family reminded me of the possibilities within my own; I am expecting great achievements from specific family members who are not even aware that they encompass greatness. I cried at the screening of FAST COLOR because it painted a beautiful picture of hope in a time when the world needs it most. I was moved to be a more positive supporter of others who are lost or don’t exactly understand their purpose.

I literally took it to heart
and am encouraged to mimic the FAST COLOR art.

I took a deep breath and had a cocktail
before familial hope was nearly shot to hell

in US.
The slow beginning was rough

but it picked up quickly and took on a thicker plot at the end.
Not even I expected it and I was prompted with spoilers – by a friend.

Until ACT 2, I almost lost interest when I did not understand
the high capacity of the nightmare in the director’s hand.

My initial WHY arose when a mirrored family showed up in the protagonist family yard.
Had I known WHY I would have been more scared, but good Lord

I was immovable at the mayhem without my beloved why.
My film emotions were in place but were ‘activation’ shy.

Post the close of the movie, I had a clearer reflection of Jordan Peel‘s WHY.
Still, I feel I would have enjoyed a little more ACT 1 glue, i.e., sub-story insight.

Having said as much, this movie truly deserves all of its accolades and hype.
I enjoyed it in dimensions; Jordan Peel’s talent is quite ripe.

BOTH FILMS yielded fun and refreshing 411 that I wanted to know,
I’m Qui
One film made me jump and the other prompted me to grow.

Entertainment & Education go well in a fold.
The  d i f f e r e n c e  between
A #MoveMe vs. A #Movie
is how it  a f f e c t s  your soul.
