Pretty Good

In Communication, Griot, Networking, News, Video on June 9, 2017 at 4:45 am

book-reader-stickfigure.gifGood morning good people, I’m feeling pretty good.
The sleep has been sound in my A-Z hood.

The work has been easy; on my lobes it’s been light.
I’m pretty content in my free spirited life.

I’m  also in the editing bay by myself.
I’d like to take the day off, but it’ll wreak havoc on my wealth.

Hey-ey! I can do the math.  🙂 The hours are well understood,
so I strive to be reel productive in my beautiful A-Z hood.

What have you got up on this breezy Friday morning?
I’m up early feeling flowery & girly – no time for the yawning.

I’ve collected a stack of new books — they range in a myriad of topics.
I’ve got a date with a new book marker & we’re gonna ROCK IT!

There’s little that I like better than “going there” via a book.
Reading equates to mind feeding and THAT’S a Pretty Good look.

trump-hugs-comeySo James Comey testified on Thursday afternoon; there was no smoking gun but a whole lot of hooks.
James didn’t lie but rolled over on ‘the big guy,’ and it was a Pretty Good look.

The presidents personal lawyer made a statement after the public session closed their books.
It was written — he read, like he was fed it and it was hardly Pretty Good.

In fact it was weak, but the “stand up gesture” was sweet. He just wanted to rebut.
What’ll be Pretty Good is if we could get out of these woods and render aid to our gaping  cut.

We are bleeding and leaking out.
Twitter chat  and NSA docs are what its all about.

Reality Winner:  She has won a court case!
reality-winner-arrested-for-nsa-doc-leakThanks to misguided-patriotic duty – she’s staring prison in the face.

Patriotism is questionable these days as Reality went about leaking the documents all wrong.
NOTE: Do not consider leaking -ish, without first booking a room with Julian Assange.

God bless folk trying to do the right thing. We still need good folk in every hood.
Take no unauthorized blinks, loose lips cause ships to sink; none of which is Pretty Good.

Thank goodness it’s the weekend. Hang loose and do your ‘thang.
But don’t you go babbling like Arizonas beloved McCain.

He had the last inquiry during the hearing session yesterdayjohn-mccain-2017.jpg
and so help me God, ‘he gave Clinton a nod’ before he drifted away…

McCain later said, it was just ‘sleepiness’ at play.
He stayed up watching the Diamond Back game too late.

Yahhh! And the Maverick limped on, though his inquiry is now transcribed for historical books.
He sounded funny, but the laughter was good for my tummy, so for the Senator, that was Pretty Good.

This weekend will find
me with a new book bind
learning something new.

Though I always feel Pretty Good
when I’m kicking it with you in my hood,
so what will you be up to?

Are you coming through? You really should.
I’ve got an extra book for ya –  and that’s Pretty Good.

Good morning! Good morning! Let me close with a )))HUG(((!
I’m Qui
Feeling Pretty Good about WE. Whatever you do today, please do it in love.

I’m well on my way.
Yay!

A Tattle Tales Hell

On Thursday, Ecuador granted Assange political asylum at its London embassy on the grounds that, if extradited to Sweden to be questioned about sexual assault allegations, he would be at risk of further extradition to the US to face espionage or conspiracy charges.

Assange sought refuge at the embassy two months ago following the dismissal of his final legal appeal against extradition to Sweden.

Senator Carr has repeatedly dismissed suggestions that the US has any interest in prosecuting and extraditing Assange. In June, Senator Carr also told the ABC Insiders program: “I’ve received no hint that they’ve got a plan to extradite him . . . I would expect that the US would not want to touch this.”

However, the Australian embassy in Washington reported in February that “the US investigation into possible criminal conduct by Mr Assange has been ongoing for more than a year”. The embassy identified a wide range of criminal charges the US could bring against Assange, including espionage, conspiracy, …click here for more on Assanges predicament

GREATNESS Includes 2K Sports, Jay-Z & Michael Jordan

There’s an old saying, good is the enemy of great, a theme that we hold close at 2K Sports. As mentioned before, we have an extremely talented development team, and we’re never truly satisfied. – There have been lots of long nights debating what if or what could we do to make the game better from last year. This attitude is contagious across the company and is what’s pushed us to produce what we feel is the best basketball game on the market today. Our goal at the start of each development cycle is not a sales figure, it’s to surpass what we’ve previously done and what anyone else has done and so far that mentality has worked out extremely well for us. Sticking with this philosophy, we feel we’ll fare well in this, and future markets,” Argent wrote.

2K said Jay Z handpicked the 24 songs and has been extremely active and hands-on in his role as executive producer, Argent wrote. It has been that way since 2K first approached the musical artist, who also owns a small piece of the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets and designed the team’s logo. HOT NBA News usually leads me down a road of thought to NBA greats like Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant. More specifically, Kobe Bryants [2012 Dream Team] comments (paraphrased), ‘this years Olympic Dream Team was better than the ’92 Dream Team’.

Mikes response, “Well, I knew that was going to be a debate. It is a debate. We’ll never know, but let’s talk about it if you want to talk about it. I know Kobe said some things early on, and I responded. The 92 Dream team was, I felt, a more well-rounded basketball team. He thought we were a little old…So, I think the team, itself, would have been well-rounded defensively, offensively, inside, outside. I just felt like we had enough size that we could contend with the 2012 team. One of the things the 2012 team lacked was size. We probably would have attacked them from inside and then outside. Our defense would have been pretty much solidified with the shot blockers as well as perimeter defensive players,” Jordan said. “I don’t think we would have had any problems with them.”

Great video game premise:

1992 Dream Team -vs- 2012 Dream Team

Jordan speculated that the ability to play the two teams head-to-head in NBA 2K13 would probably generate more debate – not less — about which team reigns supreme.”

Does everyone remember the roster for that original “Dream Team?” Look at the picture above to see how many Hall of Famers you can name. (Spoiler alert: Christian Laettner isn’t one of them).

Is Romney-Ryan Ticket a TOTAL RECALL

Playing out like a movie…

[Former Rep. Mel Levine (D-Calif.)]
With the announcement of Governor Romney’s presumptive running mate, Congressman Paul Ryan, I am beginning to wonder if this election will be 2008 all over again.

To be clear, I believe that Congressman Ryan is an intelligent man. He has clearly devoted himself to his work and commands an impressive knowledge of the U.S. fiscal policy. But Ryan’s intelligence does not blunt the impact of his extremist budget or right-wing voting record.

It doesn’t end there. Congressman Ryan would like to end Medicare as we know it, turning it into a voucher system which puts the burden of payment on the backs of seniors. According to CBS News, the elderly would have to pay as much as 68 percent of their health care coverage under Congressman Ryan’s plan, compared to the 25 percent they currently pay. What’s more, according to the Urban Institute, a nonpartisan think tank, the plan would replace Medicaid with block grants, causing between 14-27 million low-income Americans to lose health insurance.

Just like Governor Palin, Congressman Ryan’s extremism is not contained to one policy area. Congressman Ryan has maintained a radically anti-choice agenda, stating that all abortions should be illegal, even in the case of rape or incest, and co-sponsored a personhood bill that would declare that life begins at fertilization, effectively outlawing most forms of birth control. He also shares Governor Palin’s intolerance for equal rights for all, …click here to complete the question of a TOTAL RECALL Campaign

Social News Peruse

In Communication, Griot, News, Politics on December 2, 2010 at 1:44 pm

So as of late, the social partying scene has been a bit slow
due to pending bills and MONEY that’s not quick to grow.
Uh-Oh!
Where did the good times go?

They went out quickly – with the recession.
Still those tax cuts for the rich would be a GOP blessin‘;
They’re playing games in congress – while Americans are stressin’.
Unemployment benefit extensions are on the table; the issue is pressin’.

The social scene is a relaxing kin – A place where you kick it with friends and win,
But who put three bullets in Ronni Chasen while she drove in her mercedes benz?

The red carpet walk was inclusively hers just hours before she was fatally snubbed.
Chasen was the GO-TO-WOMAN for films that sought out a lil’ OSCAR BUZZ.

Forget the water cooler – there are no words to speak
about the debacle in progress – invoked by WikiLeaks.
Eeeks!

So we’re quiet…
No reputation boost riot.

Julian Assange incites friction on the political and military social scenes
inspiring Vladimir Putin to speak firm & clear on Larry King.

Did you happen to see it?
If you missed the broadcast – TRANSCRIPT read it.

Tonight Lebron James returns to his hometown b-ball spot;
There’s no love for 23 this time, just former fans who are hot.

Also Fantasia, El Debarge and Erik Benet will be in concert tonight.
So the DFW’s Thursday will be hyperly social and undeniably tight.

The YOUNG & The RESTLESS is cutting up: Daisy is pregnant and has DNA confessed it
to be the child of Daniel Romalotti then Adam Newman got arrested.

Star Chandler is “assumed to be dead” and business-wise that would probably be best,
but she’s really on a relocation vacation provided by Victor Newman & his jet.
…there’s MORE DRAMA to be birthed out of this scenario yet.

I’m a fan no doubt. I’m definitely into daytime relatin’
so whatever happened to that old soap series: GENERATIONS?

Vivica Fox was on it, as was Rick Fits and Tonya Lee Williams too.
I miss them all and am toying with thoughts to create a new generational view.
Oooo!
I feel a story line pending in the soap opera brew. 🙂

I often write with excite post being invoked by the digital social tube,
I’m Qui
Enjoying a little TV, esp. STEVE HARVEY on the Family Fued.
Sharp. Funny. Cool.
Good times and LAUGHTER rule!
