The Band is Back Together

In Communication, Griot, Networking, TV Shows on September 13, 2017 at 4:41 am

All eyes are now on Dre…

Episode 10, Season 4 of POWER did deliver
and dulled the stereotype of “being a killer.”

You had Budweiser, Coors & Miller together again…
Their government names could never contain the amount of sin

that they have on agenda; the mayhiem they intend to create.
Tommy and Ghost took out Uriel but meant to kill Dre.

Raina’s death was avenged but that doesn’t make all “right.”
Tariq showed up at Ray-Ray’s undercover cop spot and took his life.

He fired two shots and Rays life stalled,
Then Angela came after the fact and found a bullet lodged in the wall.

Tariq used Tasha’s personal handgun
Forcing Tasha to hire Terry Silver and end their romp fun.

Everything is different now…

Now the whole family is under the gun – they live by it.
Me? It’s a heck of a heap, the layers are so deep I had to write it.

For next season, I’m already excited, though I chose to write about Episode 10 today
because not long ago I read an article that indicated “limited episodes” are at play.

Meaning the producers asked for 11 or 12 episodes
to tell a thorough tale but we’re duly told “No.”

Is that so? I surely hope not.
Is STARZ the good guy or the dirty cop?

Why not grant the producers per their request?
Is the series worth it? [Answers] DO IT and HECK YES‼️ 🙂

Forcing the series to combine multiple scripts because there’s no episodic room
makes me wonder what it means to be a successful series boon?

Anywho, I loved every minute in Season 4 of the series POWER.
I pray the premium network STARZ considers yielding a couple of additional hours.

Mmmm. Delicious drama it is.
The highs and lows of life via scripted biz.

No one sits lightly during any scene where we loose a kid.
Tasha’s emotions
are the tumultuous ocean of a broken and bruised Ms.

Kiss-Kiss but let us not dismiss how the season came to a close:
In Tommy’s mustang with Kanan in back and @shotgun, Ghost.

The Band is back together and dare I say,
they’re all focused on their next hit, “El fatality Dre.”

Hey-ey. For the series to have been expressed via 10 episodes,
KUDOS to every facet and all involved – a relative tale was always told.

The POWER series produces juices that look like gold,
I’m Qui
Flexing POWER with thee about the game being told and sold.

POWER is necessary

ghost-vs-milan-power

Milan assumes Ghosts position….

Who has the POWER to “CALL THE SHOTS?” Did you watch last Sunday night?
STARZ had the POWER for a whole hour and in HD – it was pretty tight.

The script writing is succulent tender – though the bite is still solid and tough.
Ghost and Tommy are at it again, chickens in the pen, but pills are the rush.

Milan is the cannibal whose ‘CALLING THE SHOTS and running the block.
Tommy is his new protege’ and Ghosts ropes have officially been docked.

He and Tasha had an intimate moment that lead them straight to the bed
afterwards Ghost mentioned “taking out Milan” and it wore heavy on Tasha’s head.

She called ol’ Tommy-boy and told him that he “needs to stop Ghost”
because if his “Milan execution” fails – she and the kids life would be toast.

Tommy knows this all to well, Milan threatened Tommy’s life to his face.
Tommy’s mad at Ghost for ‘plotting-the-most’ and is off to a half cocked race!

ruiz-greg-power

AUSA Greg Torres and Ruiz

So fast off to the races he headed up the breeze
that he used to chauffeur and then OFF Ruiz!

Yes indeed. He personally knifed him up.
Ghost was using Ruiz for the Milan – FBI bust.

Without Ruiz in the cut, Greg is waiting empty handed for the wire.
AUSA Greg wired Ruiz up in hopes to catch some “Ghost convo” fire.

And if Greg ever retrieves that recording device off of Ruiz’s dead body
Tommy will have fingered himself as GHOST while killing Ruiz. Loddy-doddy.

Before episode 9 ended, Tommy was back at Milans warehouse post
where he sat down with Milan and said, “We need to kill Ghost!”

Power Season 3

Tasha’s goto is Tommy now?

Do what? Things are like THAT now? Ol’ Tommy-boy is scary.
Ghost is in the dark, Tasha requested the dim spark
and once again the POWER is necessary.

Whose holding it and how exactly are they executing?
I’m Qui
following the hand of the writers – as they do character rebuking.

Ghosts is feeling quite cellophane.
Tasha and Tommy are back-dooring his game.

kanan-tariq-power-ep9

Kanan connects with Tariq on everything but the right thing…

What’s most insane is that there’s 1 more episode left.
Kanan is doing the underbelly thing – spinning a nasty web.

He’s taken to Ghosts son, Tariq, and is manipulating him well.
Kanan has plans to mold the childs hands
to continue “Ghosts generational hell.”

Are you still watching are you locked in and clocking?
The season may be wrapping up but the cold writing isn’t stopping!

PS… Where the “L” is Keisha (aka LaLa)?
She’s been missing since Tommy visited her spot.
Kinfolk, I tell ya, the script writing is….

It’s over now! We’re done!

PlumQui-2015cropI knew this day was coming and as much as I prepared myself for it, week after week, when it finally did happen… well, I’d be lying if I said I was ready. I have been on the edge for weeks now thinking about POWER‘s seasonal fade-to-black and I knew that LOVE & HIP HOP [Atlanta] would be following their lead. Yes, I knew it all had to end at some point, I watched intensely with bated breath.

POWER chose to execute rather than rebuke therefore Kanan found himself in a cellophane situation. He and Ghost were going at it in a tussle, Kanan had a gun, he dropped it. The two beef sided brothers went at it and broke up the surrounding decorum in the process. A body slam maneuver was executed and the men landed hemselves in a floor scuffle. Ghost picked up a dagger shaped piece of glass and slid it into Kanans side. He collapsed; eyes closed. Ghost then took  jug of gasoline and dowsed the premises around Kanan and lit the place on fire as he exited the door.

Yep-yep! That was it and it was cold. Karan got what was coming to him, however before the credits could run the fire investigation revealed there was no body found on the premises. Ghost is unaware of this fact. Who has the POWER now?

kaleena+tony

Kelenna and her Manager/Hubby Tony

LOVE & HIP HOP [Atlanta] was pretty serious. Kaleena is getting the help that she needs and Tony is back in the managers seat of her career. Margeaux told Nikko that the person that she is currently in a relationship is a woman.  A couple of episodes ago we witnessed Margeaux tell Nikko and his mother that she wanted a divorce. Nikko’s mom asked her was she seeing someone else – Margeaux positively affirmed. Afterwards, mother, son and the viewing public were left to assume with whom? At least now we can appropriately direct her affections for her new love to the pronoun “she.” Nikko asked her if she were gay or bisexual now? His wife responded, “I love from the inside out.”  Well said Margeaux.

Jessica Dime finished up her performance that Mimi arranged for her shortly thereafter she ended her career with MF Management and told Mimi and Stevie J to ‘f@#k off’ right before she exited the scene kicking and screaming.

Do whaaaaaat?

Yes. She did and Stevie J called it “stripper behavior,” after Jessica said more than once (to Stevie J), “I fight N#%%#’s too.” But she wasn’t fighting Joseline – remember when Dime came to see Jos’ at the studio? She chunked her clutch bag, but she wasn’t really stepping to fight.

Speaking of Joseline, the end didn’t look good for her this season. She and Stevie J closed this one out on the rocks. Stevie asked Mimi to consider moving her and their daughter to LA with him. Well not “with him” as in the same home, but he did ask her to relocate and no – I do not think he talked this idea over with Jos prior, but Karlie tried to give her a heads up…

Karlie-Joseline-LHHA

L-R: Karlie Redd & Joseline Hernandez of LHHA

After Joseline’s GAYBORHOOD performance Karlie went backstage with roses and congratulations for Joce’. She told Joce’ that she had run into Mimi and Jos face turned sour. Karlie then dropped the 411 about Mimi saying that Stevie asked her to move to LA. Joseline responded by kicking Karlie out of the dressing room and hitting her in the forehead with the very flowers she bought for Joseline. The 2-women almost went tit-for-tat, but security was quick.

Now in all fairness, I think that Joseline overplayed her response to Karlie due to misplaced emotions. Before hearing Karlie’s 411 Joseline noticed the flowers and note from Stevie J., she opened the letter and began to read the first 2-lines of the letter and put it down and said something to Karlie like, ‘Un-un. I don’t want to read this right now, because Stevie ain’t here,’ and then encouraged Karlie to continue her conversation.  Naturally when Karlie dropped the bomb Joselyn was poised on the edge – ready to react like the ticking time bomb, that she can be and then BOOM! She exploded. It wasn’t a good look, but it happened and kicked Karlie out of her dressing room with he help of security.  Joseline went home alone to that evening to enjoy a mono-bubble bath and champagne for 1. Life is rough sometimes.  Meanwhile Stevie J is in route to LA. without his Puerto Rican Princess.

decorative-line-divider1
What is HIP HOP without LOVE? Nikko and Stevie have at episodes point – lost theirs.
Each was a casualty of the music in part, yet both men were surprised and unprepared.

Fair or not Fair the heart loves whom and what it wants.
And Stevie was wrong for singing “the family song” and expecting Mimi to LA haunt.

This was the part that crushed Joseline’s heart and now it’s all messed up.
The Puerto Rican Princess feels hurt and dissed in her bubble lathered tub.

LHHA‘s season finale was a little bit rough,
my patience will pique on until next season, ’cause I can’t get enough.

Everybody needs somebody, Kelenna has T, Rasheed has Kirk and the ‘hustle’ keeps the ‘flow,’
but who the hell is keeping Tasha and the kids? Because Angela is laid up with Ghost.

Oh-oh-oh no. POWER had an exciting finale hour.
Kanan was Copperfield and Ghost’s thing with Tasha is going sour.

Tommy doesn’t trust Ghost either because by golly
Ghost is the one who hosted the name change and relocation of his Holly.

No. Nobody seems to be on Ghosts side.
Even Ange’ has issues that she can not hide.

She turned in her partner – on a charge that’s a lie.
For the consolation of Ghost. Jamie is the big prize.

The episode was titled: GHOST IS DEAD and the resonation of actions were heard,
I’m Qui
and I tell you what, Ghost will be dead soon enough if Kanan finds him first.

I know Kanan has his reasons,
so I’ll sit tight until next season…

POWER Plays and Executions

Kanan and his son, Shawn

Chess moves and POWER plays are made everyday in business and in life. There’s no better series reflecting those moves in script form, than made on the Starz series POWER. My goodness did you see Season 2 – the 8th episode? I hope that you have, because I’m serving up griot and since the episode is a few weeks old I’m yielding a broadcast of the show. Yo! Yo! Yo! Yo! How much can you take?

column-seperation-divider

I thought episode 7 was tough and then 8 came along
Kanan is still singing that same ol’ tired song.

He’s in to convince associate drug dealers that Ghost is all wrong.
Kanan wants details on Shawn breaching Tasha’s betrothed thong.

POWER has the most interesting ‘going on’s’ and I try not to miss too many.
Kanan possesses a soul from hell, and as far as “details” this episode [here] has plenty:

Power-S2-Ep8

Click the play button to enjoy Episode 8

Episode 9 revealed to us that:

.

Tommy was in jail and up for bail
for being involved in that ‘money delivery hell.’

Lobos is in NY trying to moves dollars,
but Angie conducts a bust and it all goes to sour.

Tommy was in the hotel room when the bust went down.
Tommy was decked in orange and booked downtown.

Ghost and Ange’ were still hitting it; though Fed-wise she was getting greedy,
yielding to the embrace of Ghost…  the side piece was playing “the needy.”

The writers were pretty seedy in kicking out this script
and the fact that we lost Shawn was a dysfunctional and familial trip.

His father’s name is Kanan – and Kanan assumed biblical history at familiars table
when he killed his son, Shawn in cold blood – like Cain did his brother Able.

Kanan wasn’t even coked up – this guy is just bad blood.
He killed his son like he was doing nothing wrong – Kanan is a thug.

Give the writers a big ol’ hug! They squeezed the life out of this episode,
I’m Qui
Digging P — and anticipating the seasons finale to appeal like gold.

After all “to have us hooked and waiting” is the writers ultimate goal.
To Starz and Power Producers: You got the goods, I love it. Kudos!
