That 11-1 Record… How ’bout dem COWBOYS!

Last night the COWBOYS played and wouldn’t you know
they went out on the field and put on another WIN show.

I’m a die hard COWBOYS Fan. No band-wagon-jumper here!
I’ve lived thru it all, the build, the fall, the boo’s and the cheers.

In stadium I’ve drank a few beers and elbowed my fellow fan members.
In fact, that’s exactly what I did the month before November.

Good memories are made at good ball games and so I do lean
on that blue and silver posse that we call AMERICAS TEAM!! ūüėÄ

So who was on my #ResearchRadar this week?
Daymond John, Evan Rachel Wood and Byron Allenof a few to speak.

I #Support Evan Rachel Wood.  #LadiesInFormation

What about you? What or Who did pique your curiosity?
Heck I’m a #Sapeosexual y’all, research is my backbone history.

I like to get it and serve it up, should an opening become available to do so.
I keep my mind moistened with knowledge – I ride search engines; my ‘to and fro.’

What about you,¬†yo? How’s it going so far?
I reckon you’ve heard that Kanye is now a “troubled star.”

What the what-what? Doesn’t the entertainment world need him?
I just read that Kim K is at his bedside and that she “feeds him.”

The days can be grim when you are without your maternal love.
I pray he will be well, that his spirit receives a divine )))hug.(((

I wonder if sometimes we do
call up bad crap — our own boo-boo?

I’m not saying that Kanye has in any way conjured up his own unfortunate health,
more than I am saying “instability” runs rampart in our beloved icons of wealth.

Wealth isn’t a “boo-boo,” but thinking that you’re the shit — kind of is.
It takes the air out of successes fair and has drained many stars of their jiz.

Stay #Humble kinfolk. No kool aid sipping…

I’m hoping that Kanye’s poor health issues are an ill publicity stunt
to cover up the noise about Bey and his boy — that concerted¬†rant/funk.

I mean, ‘he ain’t no punk. I’m sure he means what he says
but PR depends on him for their ends, ¬†thus “mental illness” is in play.

And I understand – I really do. He’s a musical genius in his right.
I pray that he regains his strength, gets back into studio and write.

I’d like to know the backstory of this, his particular page
though it would be nice to think Kanye just wanted to invoke of me a “Say.”

Remember what he said in his song :

I’d be worry if they said nothing.”

So there. I’m saying something.
He’s too valuable to me to say ‘nothing.’

Yes, much stuff has crossed my mind this week
but I didn’t watch the news – not even a peak.

I did however, put up my Christmas tree.
I felt like a kid when I did Рhappiness is key.

I didn’t put my tree up in November because I was still bursting with thanks
but now that December is in the house, ye ol’ Christmas spirit has pulled rank.

How art thee today? What have you got up?
I think I’ll go out and make a new friend, encourage someone and share a hug.
Is that too much?

You’re not the touchy-feel’y type?
Well that’s okay today is just one day – go on and join my )))HUGGING((( hype.

Hugging your neighbor is alright — though you should probably ask first.
I’d hate for you to loose a tooth and/or a black eye or worst.

Today is Friday baby, go out, be you and have fun,
I’m Qui
Glad to see December with thee, I’m feeling mad love for everyone.

Winding down without the whine but lots of wine still…

spindle-top

Nothing winds down like a #SpindleTop or an incredibly successful year. I love them both!!

There are less than 12-days before the next holiday  of this year
and I raise my sealed thermal¬†mug to each of you — in a cheer!

We’ve come a long way baby and a whole lot has happened
Kim K had another baby and Kanye has given birth to “weird” rap fashion.

2015-rapper-fashion

It’s interesting, it’s live, it’s tiny, tight and bold.
They are breaking new fash’ identity without ALL OF the gold.

They are still rocking RUN DMC dome wear. In fact, I really like that.
There’s something dapper about intellect that secured under a nice hat.

I’m not whining, I’m just winding down the year and perusing through what happened.
Your girl Qui is renovating her wardrobe as well, I lost 3 dress sizes in fashion.

I am officially down 30 lbs from just earlier this year.
So you know that 2016 will find me bolder about #Fit cheer.

30lbs is nothing to whine at, and during the change, I had no wine.
I ate no fat or fast food to bat for 90 days and reaped a smaller behind.

no-whining-zoneNo cheating, lots of reading and lots of discipline to boot.
3 dress sizes down, I’m a little less round and working out is a hoot!

I didn’t make a 2015 resolution about weight. Resolutions equate to wishes.
Instead I decided to eat what I like, but from the labor of my own dishes.

No hidden ingredients were in my food. I didn’t whine, I took control.
And no matter how good, candy and carbs used to be – today I’m happy in my soul.

Not being obese feels better than gold, so I won’t be buying a new RUN DMC chain.
I’m happy, I’m giddy, my current wardrobe looks silly – due to my ‘shrinking fat’ frame.

I don’t think I’ll shower myself with Christmas gifts this year, I will focus on others.
I think I’ll love on my fam and friends via my ends and of course my father and mother.

God has been good to me! I believe I have a whole lot of what I need
to continue on this good journey of hammering out encouraging reads.

Say a prayer for QE because I keep all QE readers in my prayers.
Perhaps 2016 will yield us more green.¬†Collab projects? Ha! I’ll be there!

No whine, just good friends and wine as we wind down this Tri-15 year,
I’m Qui
Good morning, good day, good life, good SAY! — For you, this is my cheer!

Sounds like the music of the summer will be of much tender choices,
We’ve got Beyonce, Kanye & Andre’ resonating through BlackVoices:

BlackVoices.comBeyonce continues to ramp up interest in her forthcoming album, ‘4’, with the release of her latest leaked single, ‘Party.’ The Kanye West co-production features cameos from Andre 3000 and Yeezy himself, and sounds like a potential song of the summer.

Beyonce mailed in an uptempo dance anthem when she dropped ‘Run the World (Girls)‘ and proved that she could emote in true R&B diva fashion with the follow-up ballad, ‘Best I Never Heard.’ But here on ‘Party,’ she nails an easy-breezy, soul vibe on this track co-produced by Kanye West and Consequence.

The laid back jam begins with a subtle Slick Rick sample of ‘La-Di-Da-Di’ and Yeezy sounding like he’s lounging in a beach chair with this sly line: ‘You a bad girl and your friend’s bad too/ You got the swag sauce, you dripping swagu.’

Launching into lyrics about being “so in love” and “music knocking till the morning light,” Beyonce’s idea of a party may have a not-so-innocent double meaning. Yet the track’s bright horn toots and light ’80s-era synths keep it from sounding like anything but a good old time.

Andre 3000, as he does on virtually every cameo appearance, almost steals the show. This time, he unravels a few cocky couplets: “Set the scene, 3000 degrees/ Ain’t worried about those f**k niggas over there, but they worried about me/ I got a homeboy named Butter/ and another homeboy, that nigga named Cheese/ F**k with me baby, I’ll make it milk till it drip down your knees.”

But ‘Party’ is still Beyonce’s show, soaring vocals and all. And the song does an even better job than the two previous singles at stoking anticipation for her upcoming album, ‘4,’ with is set for a June 28 release.

I don’t know about you, but I miss the fore mentioned few.
It is a necessity that we jam — so let’s do what it do.

BET’s Impressive Beat

Well, Moma always said, “You can’t keep a good Chris Brown [man] down”.
His tribute was dead on and rather eeerie — if nothing else, can we give him a pound?

Not the kind that hurts, but the kind that inclusively loves.
I’m sure MJ himself was impressed – with his technique, courage and glove.
LOVED IT!

I was surprised to see El Debarge & (it’s about time we hugged) Kanye West.
An insightful hue and cool review was posted by The Associated Press:

LOS ANGELES— It was comeback night at the BET Awards.

Kanye West opened Sunday’s show in his first TV appearance since dissing Taylor Swift at last year’s MTV Video Music Awards. T.I. made a triumphant return to TV for his first performance since being released from prison in December. And 1980s hitmaker El DeBarge blazed back onto the stage to play old hits and the title track from his first new album in 16 years.

But most unexpected was Chris Brown, who offered an emotional tribute to Michael Jackson.

The embattled pop star has mostly kept a low profile since pleading guilty to felony assault for beating up Rihanna in February 2009. But here he was, center stage, mimicking Jackson’s signature dance moves with almost eerie accuracy. Introduced by Jermaine Jackson, Brown embodied the King of Pop, wearing his fedora and spangled glove and moonwalking across the stage to “Billie Jean.”

Then, as Brown grabbed a microphone to sing “Man in the Mirror,” he broke down in tears. His voice cracked, he couldn’t sing, and at one point he crumpled to the stage in apparent agony. It was a moving moment made even more so by the song’s lyrics and his own recent past.

The 21-year-old returned to the stage later to apologize to his fans.

“I let you all down before, but I won’t do it again. I promise you,” Brown said.

Performances were so plentiful during the 3 1/2-hour show that prizes were almost secondary. (click here to continue the column read…it gets hotter!)

It was truly a night of loving, coming-up-together and looking smart,
I’m Qui
Feeling MJ today and glad we’re back to LOVING – ’cause LIFE is SHORT.
