Newsletter IMG2TAXING THE VERGE

Strapped for cash and seeking new ends,
Colorado voted marijuana in.

————-

And they’re taxing it. Guess whose not going to be so broke after all?

So what now? What does it mean? Will other states follow and cop funds off weed? Well there are already 20 states that have made it legal – and the laws are precise like the eyes of an eagle.

My dad has cancer and marijuana helps –
but to get it, he would have to go incognito/stealth.
He did look a little silly in ball cap (low) and shades –
but that’s the way ‘old-school’ remembered ‘the behave.’
The state dad resided in, did simply refute –
the thought of legalizing weed for medicinal use.
I’m sure they have their bureaucratic reasons –
but for the cancer patient, weed benefits are in season.

Well we couldn’t let dad live illegal, so we duly made our case – that dad step up his game and move to an appropriate state. How does your state stand on the issue? Check the chart summary – don’t let it miss you:

RED State Humor:
“Vice President Joe Biden said today that he had to ask his wife Jill to marry him five times before she said yes. Five times! Joe, that’s not a proposal, that’s harassment.”

Sure, it’s been a while since we’ve had a News Peruse.
Remember: Trash the inapplicable and keep what you can use.

I just wanted to touch on topic: health – for medicinal purposes.
I just wanted to drop a little griot with no formal rehearsal spit.

I added a touch of graphics, in hopes to simply yield
you that old-timey, throwback-newsletter feel.

Today I’m inclined to yield to the past,
to reap some wisdom that I can use for gas.

I’m seeking that stuff that gets me going
so I’m over here in the office, positive seed sewing.

What are your plans? What kind of weekend are you bidding?
I’m Qui
I plan to step-up to the plate and do some more home run hitting.

Life is that game that you cannot refuse.
So set it up easy, like this News Peruse.

Well, you know me – I have quite a bit to say,
and I very much like versing it in a Griot way.

So today we’ll begin where I feel best
and touch on the subject of Alan West.

Happy am I to hear the Floridian people shout:
Hip! Hip! Hooray!!! Alan West is OUT!

He lost the election & he lost all the love
that he believed he had gained via the Tea Party shove.

I am thankful for life and all who are positively living,
but Romney’s gaffes are the gifts that keep on giving.

The election is over, only 14-days ago
and the Republicans are already campaigning for the next ‘fo.

It’s easy to verse on their actions in rhyme:
Republicans seriously need to get-with-the-times.

I don’t make the headlines, I am limited to a report.
And Rubio is taking a stance, in a pitch for the next four.

The fiscal cliff is also looming and it looks scary but
I believe the Pres has said he won’t extend the Bush Tax cuts.

Is it true? It is it true?
Will he do it for the middle classed me and you?

He that maketh the most – should give back more
than you and I and our middle class
(paycheck) score.

If all does not go well and we do fall off of the fiscal cliff,
a great portion of the blame will be on the Republicans lift.

That’s not my opinion. I’m not doing the most.
I got that 411 from old Huffington Post.

This is no blame game situation. We need to arrive at a unity point.
We need both sides to come together and make an economical working joint.

Economics was one of my favorite subjects back in the days of high school,
but the way congress has handled it as of late… is so fiscally uncool.

I pray we can come together, build a united front and be strong.
In the words of the late Rodney King, “Can we all just get along?”

Happy am I still – that Thanksgiving is due this very week,
I won’t be with my Texas fam, but I will enjoy good eats.

I’ll iPhone (FaceTime) with my Momma and my the rest of my family abroad,
I’m Qui
Perusing the News with thee – of which I am thankful to God.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING Y’all.
Let’s unite fiscally & resist the fall.
