There are two shows, from two different networks that I want to talk about this morning that are consistent with their message of love and evolution; though the title of either series gives no clue to the obvious convey:

The Last O.G. and S.W.A.T.

First up, The LAST O.G., Season 2 – Episode 5 “Sound of Da Police

The LAST O.G.: Tray, Shay, and Josh

In this episode of blended family love –

Shazad learns to drive via a 2-father hug.

What I mean by that is, Shazad’s mother, Shay is married to a white guy named Josh.
Though Shazad’s melanin is like his mom’s; evidence of DNA wrought.

Shazad is brown.
Josh taught him how to drive around town

when they were stopped by a policeman in traffic.
It was a bogus stop and Josh wasn’t having it.

Ever so assertively he expressed his concern of a mistaken stop,
and averted being ticketed by the duck-duck-goose cop.

While still on the side of the road, Josh explained to Shazad
that the police mean well on most of their traffic stops

and how sometimes you just have to be forthright and inquire,
and how the police are rarely there to provoke transit ire.

Shahzad received the information well,
and couldn’t wait to tell
Tray, (his bio dad) that he’s been on a driving spell.

On a subsequent driving lessons day, the clock was on Tray’s watch,
Shahzad was driving the same vehicle and by the police, they were stopped.

Things didn’t go as well as they did for Shazad when Josh was in the car;
The black men were asked to get out of the car… revealing America’s scar.

Shahzad wasn’t alarmed but remained calm and cool,
and spoke respectfully to the officer like Josh taught him to

and still
harassment by the traffic officer is real.

I appreciate the narrative/reality feel.
Writing is an art; reflections can be uphill.

The LAST O.G. episodes keep it real in scripted thought,
much like Hondo ‘nem in the remake of S.W.A.T.

Chris, Hondo, Deacon, and Street

Season 2, Episode 20 –
Diversity scripts? S.W.A.T. has plenty.

Let’s talk about dating, let’s talk about love.
Let’s hit on the topic of Polyamorous.

Chris is the only female on the S.W.A.T. team to date;
she was single until a few episodes back, now her status is on delay
because her heart is in a triad; polyamorous play.

Kira is her girlfriend and Kira’s fiance is her beau.
What is it about a triad relationship that we, the public, do not know?

Traditional relationships have been between a woman and a man
and productively speaking, the two hail in ‘ the life creation’ plan.

That’s it! But does it truly and absolutely mean —
that if you don’t love the opposite sex that you can’t love gleam?

S.W.A.T. is taking the conversation head-on
and scripting-in reasons that Chris won’t be living alone.

In episode 20 the writers give us plenty to hear and see,
and by the end of the episode, Chris is lip-locked with Street.

What does it all mean? Well, I don’t really know,
but CBS is doing it’s best to expose you via the show.

Love is love and we need to take a look
at how society is divvying it. What about the good book?

I’m not clergy, but I am an avid reader.
I respect God above all and love is my internal measure meter.

My measure of love does not allow me to side-eye and judge folk.
We are all God’s creation; check in with Him to really ‘be woke.

The world is judgemental to you? Please do not cast that onto others in kind.
The good book is what it is — check in with God for clarity and peace of mind.

Don’t look for clarity from your brother or peer.
No need to walk the Earth being partial to fear.

I don’t have a lot of the necessary-life-answers on hand,
but I am a child of God and recognize you to be in the band.

Stand up and make beautiful music and watch a show or two on diversity,
I’m Qui
Good morning dear watcher, the weather is getting hotter, stay in and watch T.V.

It looks like Art is Leading Reality.
