Preserves

empty-mason-jar.jpgGrape, strawberry, or perhaps a little peach?
No sandwich is necessary for a good life to be in reach.

Life can be sweet if you know how to make it.
Opportunity isn’t an entitlement. When you see it, take it.

A good life can go long, so you want to have a good body-quality relation.
While the day is young and most anything can be done, put in on Self Preservation.

Take a few minutes out of your day to sit in a quiet space
turn off the lights, close your eyes, focus, and meditate.

Do you do it?
Wondering how to stay still and go through it?

Meditation yields a peace that can elude you if you’re not mindful and careful.
Life is full, prioritize as a rule; being overwhelmed yields to being fearful.

Preserve all that is good about you.
Meditate and pray every day before you join ‘the group.’

Your friends duly count on you
to be yourself and help pull them through.

Surely you knew, — right? They count on your strong style.
So please relax next time you see them and flash that reassuring smile.

The all-encompassing vibe of life loves being sweet on you.
Invest in preserving; to thyself, always stay true.

Go to God when you don’t know what to do.
Go to God if you think you have a clue.
Go to God and He’ll see you through.
Preserve and reserve. This life is about YOU.

Live, love, and give to those who don’t have or understand.
Self-preserve often to keep your heart open and softened,
and stay prepared to give a helping hand.

None of this can be achieved if you are out-of-sorts and unnerved.

Good morning baby, I’m most interested in your sweetest preserve.

Use it today to concentrate on your preserve and spiritual relation.
Use the opportunity of the Sabbath to be a jar called Mason.

Happy ENERGY Friday

Nothing-makes-me-happier

Because I’m always HAPPY

All week long, I have been on a high
I’ve laughed so hard until I cried.

My fam is blessed, see no one died.
Life is not promised. I’m glad to be alive.

My children are safe, their rooms are… their own.
I’ve got an SUV full of gas and a cool, peaceful home.

There are a few Tubmans in the bank – so all is well and fine.
It’s actually quite lovely outside [72 temp nigh], thus I wont be all-day online.

Shopping: I’ve found a cute pair of  boots, whose price is  way too fair.
They would look great with my new skirt, my complexion and hair.

I’ll be in the AZ today Happy ENERGY grinning.
FOCUSING on the moment; maintaining my “WINNING!Qui_Capt_Morgan

Yes! I’ll be talking to my neighbors, patrons in the mall and on the streets
regarding whatever commonalities we may have. Yes! I love “the spontaneous meet.”

So if you see me on the move in an SUV or on foot about
don’t be afraid to say, “What-up Qui? I’ll be quick to return the shout!

Good ENERGY is strong and I love sharing it with you.
I’m a lover of LIFE. For she is my Boo.

The reasons for the high energy about me are many.
Beyond love, life, you and shopping, blessings still exceed plenty.

Happy Friday – because surely THIS has been a long and productive week,
I’m Qui
Taking it all in, flashing a grin with the win and 2 steps from hugging thee. 😀

Betting on #Sweets

In Comedy, Politics on November 8, 2016 at 10:29 am

Mid morning I received this tasty little treat in my inbox. I’m not much of a Krispy Kreme fan, but I do enjoy a fresh baked pastry every now and again, much like the candidates who have been diligent in stopping by for photo op’s at bakeries in various toss-up states. So yeah, this bit of #sweet was in my inbox:

sweet-bakery

Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump walk into a bakery shop.

As soon as they enter the bakery, Donald steals three pastries and puts them in his pocket.

He says to Hillary, “See how clever I am? The owner didn’t see anything and I don’t even need to lie. I will definitely win the election.”

Hillary says to Donald, “That’s the typical dishonesty you have displayed throughout your entire life, trickery and deceit. I am going to show cinnamon-rollyou an honest way to get the same result.” She goes to the owner of the bakery and says, “Give me a pastry and I will show you a magic trick.” Intrigued, the owner accepts and gives her a pastry. Hillary swallows it and asks for another one. The owner gives her another one. Then Hillary asks for a third pastry and eats that, too.

The owner is starting to wonder where the magic trick is and asks, “What did you do with the pastries?”

Hillary replies, “Look in Donald’s pocket”… 😀

I suppose it’s a cool way to not send a con artist to jail but simply reveal that his actions were all a part of a joke.

I researched the previous funny and found several links that had the two candidates names switched. 🙂 Either way, it’s funny. Go on laugh and then give thought to not only paying for your next fresh pastry but also for the  order of the next person in line (or the one ahead of you). I do it all of the time. I won’t lie, I’m selfish in my doing — I love to see people smile. I don’t care about your political status, but I do love to see you smile.

Let’s SMILE and LAUGH MORE!

And

And... I'm always on-the-go

And… I’m always on-the-go

The weekend was full and Phoenix was hot
I was massaging my mind and learning a lot.

I spent the weekend thinking about my future
building new bridges and nurturing sutures.

No. I’ve not been cut, though I am healing up
from lack of production; that mundane stuff

that happened last year, when I was hopelessly
in love with helping others – philanthropy.

And then comes 2015… it’s only April so far
and my production schedule has me looking like a star.

Last year is still near but feels so far.
I used to be a patron… now I own the bar.

And life is beautiful again – I do love Spring
and all of the blooming good that it brings.

I’m avoiding the news and racking up the laughs,
I know perils exist – I am cautious when I pass.

And no matter what I’m faced with or what I’m going through
I’ve got my creative mind, my writes and the company of you.

You make it all worth the while.
I’d look pretty silly standing solo with this smile:

It’s Day 2. of a new week and I’m feeling pretty good,

And these are the contents of my inner monologue-hood.

Hello baby – how are you really doing?
Are you surviving this congressional screwing?

Are your wages low and the rent too damn high?
Are you enjoying the staple poverty in your life?

Are you so sick of being last – so sick you could choke?
Well 201 2 is your chance to speak out and vote.

Wall Street is hosting a protest as we speak.
The people are peaceful in lining up in the street.

It’s now 13 days past & they’re still in organize.
A commander is being investigated for pepper spraying eyes. *(click link see video)

The media footage that exploits it was taken this weekend,
The brutality is so raw, it looks like 1968 again;

However the bullied protesters this time have white skin.
Ah-ha! Let the UNCIVIL investigation begin .

Herman Cain is doing his thang in the GOP run,
But he won’t win the nomination grin – he’s for good ideas and fun.

Disrespect? I mean absolutely none.
I dig his mind – he’s an intriguing sum. 🙂

Chris Christy is being called out of his comfort zone and into the spotlight.
He boasts he feels the presidential call – but the timing (for him), is just not right.

Rick Perry is down in the polls, he just doesn’t debate too well.
His charm was short lived – the tea party taketh & give
and have shot his once lead straight to hell.

Have a heart and take heart Perry, Everything will be cool.
At least illegal immigrants will be able to afford collegiate school.

I feel the same way as you brother and I’m certainly not taking it back.
But then again, I’m a liberal friend – a brotherly loving Democrat.

And the beat goes on, Life is surely good to me.
I awake everyday to film smiles for miles–
Those Happy Reflections are KEY.

I feel like it’s spring, with the allergies to match.
Texas is the place to be if tour selling things like a non allergy patch.

Atchu!
Excuse me, and I’m back on beat again,

That happy Pre-Friday she about to dip & wash my hands.

4 of 11 Ways to Feel Beautiful

In Self Improvement on March 7, 2010 at 10:29 pm

(not one point involves applying makeup)

I found an attractive positive points list in an O Magazine. There are 11 in all, but I have a feeling if I typed out an 11 point “honey do-to-yourself list” — many would likely stop short on the read either out of fear that “the contents look too long” or because “the list may actually help”. Feeling beautiful always helps and time put into the effort of doing so is not ever too long. You’re worth it. Enjoy!

1. Stand (And Sit) Tall
“Your brain is constantly checking in with the rest of your body to find out how you’re feeling.” says Kelly McGonigal, PhD, a health psychologist at Stanford University/. “When your posture is erect, the message it gets is: I feel good about myself“ One study, p;ublished last year in the European Journal of Social Psychology, found that subjects whgo sat up straight in their chairs instead of slouching were more confident about statements they wrote. Keeping your shoulders back and chest open also makes you look taller, slimmer, and radiantly self assured.

2. Be An Observant – Not a Judge
Don’t issue good/bad/pretty/ugly judgments when you look in the mirror. “If you have a scar, you can decide to see it as a flaw or simply as a memo9ry of an injury”, says Stacey Tantleff-Dunn, PhD, associate professor of psychology at the University of Central Florida and director of the Laboratory of the Study of Eating Appearance & Health. Try to take in your physical attributes the way you would those of a child or beloved friend – with appreciation and acceptance, not criticism.

3. Find Something to Admire — In Yourself
“Studies using eye-tracking technology have shown that people who are unhappy with their appearance zero in on their perceived flaws when they look in the mirror”, says Nancy Etcoff, PhD, director of the Program in Aesthetics and Well Being at Massachusetts General Hospital. Turn your gaze on the feature you like (we know you have at least one). “Wen your eyes take in something that pleases you, your brain’s reward system is activated, lifting your whole mood”, says Etcoff.

4. Put on a HAPPY FACE
“We all find smiling faces more attractive than nonsmiling ones”, says Paul Ekman, PhD, professor emeritus of psychology at the University of California San Francisco School of Medicine, who has studied facial expression for several decades. A smile not only lifts the muscles around the eyes and lips for a more youthful appearance, but also generates a feel-good ripple effect: Your brain gets an instant mood boost from the muscle contractions, and that boost is maintained as people smile back at you.

Add a numerical point or two to your daily hue,
