Merrin Dungey’s Reel’ness

Merrin Dungey.jpgUnbelievable resume! Do you know of any shows that’s Merrin has been cast in? Did you know that she’s in a new series on Fox?

Let me slow down, rewind and reveal that Merrin has been cast in many hit shows that you may have been and still are a fan of. The list includes

I first remember her catching my eye in the early 2000’s as a cast member in Malcolm In The Middle and then I was fortunate to catch her in an old episode of MARTIN. That was a long time ago. Since then she’s been in many other shows but primarily in a guest role and limited episodes;  most times no more than one episode per hit show. And that’s too bad, because I’ve always enjoyed her. She had an awesome career on ABC’s former series Alias but when it ended Merrin vanished from the weekly broadcast line ups until as of late. Have you heard of Fox’s new series Resident? Merrin Dungey is in it and she’s a mainstay character. Oui!!

About Merrin Dungey in RESIDENT
I have divvied another DVR slot to be spent.

I have not seen it yet, so I’m no selling vein.
Like I told you before I’m not into the ER show ‘thang.

I am a fan of The Good Doctor, the cast is a good mix.
Plus I dig the reeled journey of a Doc whose autistic.

Merrin is a steady actress who has not met the word QUIT!
Therefore I’m pretty stoked that she’s in regular cast on RESIDENT.

Born a Leo, August 6th and in 1971
reaffirms Ms. Dungey is likely a whole lot of fun.

A no-limit journey is definitely a Leo’s sum in life.
I’m Qui
a Leo as well, peeping Merrin’s RESIDENT work on Monday nights.

So Much Compassion

In Communication, Griot, Networking, Self Improvement, TV Shows on January 3, 2018 at 4:31 am

the-good-doctor-changes-autismHave you seen ABC’s The Good Doctor yet?
Season one was so good that season two is a bet!

No fairytale get-wells — it’s life unexpected.
Compassion rises from the script — and like glue and we connect it.

I’m not an ER show watching girl; Grays Anatomy truly missed me.
I was just about to pass this up when pathos, ethos and lagos hit me.

The series is a remake of a Korean broadcasting original,
I must say the situational writing is well bodied and full of

compassionate moments that we rarely experience
unless you or your loved are in health trouble; hence,

the need for a little more neighborly compassion.
The Good Doctor propels these emotions into actions.

While researching this series, I was duly informed
that this is the 2nd such titled series under the US archive arm.

the-good-dr-orlando-bloom.jpgThe first [US scripted] Good Doctor series came and went too soon.
It debuted in the year 2011 and starred Orlando Bloom.

I didn’t catch the 2011 debut and caught this new reboot series on a whim.
I decided to write to you about it, because the lead principle… I like him.

His name is Freddie Highmore and he plays Dr. Shaun Murphy.
I once had an autistic neighbor and his vantage view was worthy.

He didn’t communicate with me like I thought a child should,
so I calibrated myself to being a peer to him, like Norman Lear would

and our relationship was productive and good.
We spoke only when necessary; his intentions were understood.

I learned. I evolved.
His understanding was vast, his chatter box – small.

I moved away from that neighborhood but not the experience light.
Then The Good Doctor came in with a connecting plight…

reminding me to have a little more compassion
for those those who are operating in a unique fashion.

As much as we all like to call ourselves unique
we could use a little more compassion for those not like WE.

Need to clear your mind of politics and low social fodder?
Tune in next Monday to ABC’s The Good Doctor.

Tune into compassion.

Get reacquainted with the emotions action.
