Ecru blinds that outrank drapes and a cherry wood desktop that houses pending local crime cases is a necessary. The room’s theme is definitely Blue and the responsibility therein is consolation for Regina Haywood‘s promotion to Deputy Inspector in the new original CBS series EAST NEW YORK and it is good.
8 Things that I like most about Amanda’s new place:
Drama is for everybody and their Momma, so, I’m into it, but not necessarily a police drama series. Though, Amanda Warren’s performance as Deputy Inspector Haywood has made me a new fan of a necessary movement of betterment being scripted into hope and housed within the East New York the series.
EAST NEW YORK focuses on
- demographic parallels & situational run-ins with the law
- works on community & police relationship
- yields the viewer a BLUE vantage view
- the show’s lead is not only a minority but she is a woman
- recycles serial television talent from across the board
- new talent introduction
- the show’s writers are in touch with reality
- character variété.
The East New York community is not a monolith.
Of course the East New York community is not a monolith. Not by far.
However, the array of cases that Inspector Haywood faces…a monolith they are.
Crime is crime and has nary a new face.
Crimes that play out around the globe mirror those in Amanda’s East New York space.
And that’s cool because Inspector Haywood is on the case and she comes with fresh perspective to share.
I’m Qui
Appreciating CBS for propelling this show into our atmosphere.
It shows the viewer (in reference to the future), that “you care.”
