What do you know about ancient and historic relief bands?
Appreciate the art and retreat from rolling into the gutter, man.
I only learned of relief bands in Art History while working on my BS degree.
Before that, it all looked like tempestuous–sculpted works of art to me.
Still, I suppose it kind of does.
Understanding humans is a topic that I love.
India is responsible for the afore sculpture – several adorn many of their historic temples.
The craftsmanship of work is beautiful; from the tips of nips to the butt dimples.
Nothing about this piece looks simple. The work has stood the tests of time.
It was created between 900 – 1130 AD and shows up today in this rhyme.
Genius.
Reminds me of Venus…
It’s not a bad view to be facing, if for nothing else to pass the time.
I’m looking at this particular band and I’m liking what I find.
Craftsmanship in every chip. What did you think I was going to say?
I could go on and on about “the positions” – we’ll save that for another day.
